Hey! I've been trying to run Future Pinball (with bam) in game ex but it does not work. I can only use regular Future Pinball exe in game ex. But if I use it (Future Pinball with BAM) through my desktop, in my folder where my Future Pinball is I can run the fp loader (which is bam), it works. Thanks for your help!

Can you please attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files? Thanks.

Hi Draco! Thanks for that thread! Lots of great info but still a smidge confusing. The computer used for the arcade is not connected online so attaching the requested files is tough... would taking pics from this, my tablet, work? Also, curious, is it possible to load your own emulators into Gameex or must only use the preset emulators?  Awhile back,  I had asked for help and was told to create a folder called Emulation and in that folder are 3 other folders: Assets, Emulators and Roms. When I go into setup wizard in Gameex to configure Future Pinball, I have no problem changing the working path and the rom path but it seems that if you go into emulator selection and choose Future Pinball from the list there, it only loads up the regular Future Pinball and not with BAM, which is FPLoader. When I go into emulator setup, if I change command line to FPLoader, it does not boot up the game. I had it working once when I used working path as "BAM", rom path as "tables" and in my emulator folder I renamed FPLoader to Future Pinball.exe - it loaded with BAM but I could still hear the Gameex menu running in the background and I couldn't exit using my joystick, I had to press esc on keyboard to get out of Gameex. Also, from reading the thread, there was mention of BAM ini file but I don't  think I have that in the folder... not that I noticed anyways... Could that be an issue? This whole thing is frustrating me lol I appreciate all help and tips! Thanks!  Axl

Also, how do you change emulators in Gameex, like an updated emulator? I've updated Future Pinball so how do I change it in Gameex? Thanks!!

I do not run FP, but you can download the files from the site and install them as you have before.

You should be able to install updates to your emulators to a separate folder and point GameEx to the new emulator path.

As for the requested files, it is preferred that you attach them so they can be downloaded and searched for specific entries.

According to manual, wouldn't it be.....?

FPLoader.exe - the file that you run instead of "Future Pinball.exe"

What is your command-line when using FPLoader.exe instead of "Future Pinball.exe"?

Hi Frequency! What do you mean by what's the command line? When using FPLoader in Gameex? I can't get it to work... When I changed it to FPLoader in Gameex (instead of Future Pinball), I couldn't get out of it after...

Does your command line look like this or similar?

emu_18_command=Future Pinball.exe /open "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" /play /exit

If so, this is likely wrong. Check your settings in setup wizard and compare to what is noted in this post in the previously referenced thread..

Hi Draco! I've changed the command line to what's in the thread and I am able to load games, but it's still the "double" sound issue of hearing Gameex's front end in the background. At the end of the above thread, there was the below link about the sound issue but when I try to open it, I receive a "404" error....

First, it appears that the link is dead. Second, it was a reference to a MAME stuttering issue, not Future PInball - GameEx sound playing in the background.

Please attach new copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files. Also, if you can create and attach a brief video with sound of the sounds issue you describe that may also be of help. Thanks.

Hi Draco! Everyone!

I'm unable to attach the 2 files... I'm getting this upload failed error. I'll try again later. I also wasn't able to get a recording but it's the game's "preview video" from the menu front end that is playing when the game loads.

I really appreciate the help on this!

Also, with the above thread, it was hard to figure out the solution to the not being able to get out of a game... I can't exit using the usual buttons. I have to hit Esc but that brings me right out of Gameex. How do I exit back to the menu?

Is there a thread somewhere of like a step by step guide to setting up Future Pinball (BAM) in Gameex I can follow? What am I missing?

I'm not much of a computer guy so it's a bit frustrating trying to figure this out.

Everything works fine when playing on desktop but I just can't get it to work 100% in Gameex. I just can't figure out what I'm missing...

Thanks again!

Understood. I do not know of a guide that will help.

Attaching the gameex.ini and log.txt files is really just drag and drop the files from file explorer on your PC into your reply.

Not sure what to tell you about the upload error you say you are experiencing.

I tested and run into no problems attaching files.

@Tom Speirs will have to investigate this from his end if this is a forum problem.
