Joysticks not working

The joysticks on my MAME arcade cabinet are not working now. Buttons are all working fine but. The sticks work whilst navigating through games to pic but not when I hit TAB to go in to the general input menu. Can anyone please help me. The keyboard will not let me scroll down either!

Is this for Evo or GameEx/GameEx Arcade Edition?

This is for Game Ex. Hoping it is just a config setting but got me stumped.

We may be able to help - first, please attach copies (no copy & paste) of your gameex.ini and log.txt files for review. Also, more info on your interface for your cab, - is it an IPAC or similar controller for your setup?

Hi mate, It is running a Min x encoder I believe with a  Game ex front end. I will try and send the files for review. The controls all look fine in the settings. Really struggling with this as it is all vey new to me. Appreciate all the help

Knowing you're running a keyboard encoder doesn't help if we can't see how you have it configured.  You have to enable joystick support within the setup wizard based on your individual hardware requirements.
