I have built my pinball machine and love the layout of the program. I am now building a stand up arcade and wanted to have the same wheel style pinballx uses. Can pinballx be used ? And can the pinballx initial startup picture be changed ?

thank you

I think you can use pinballx as frontend for arcade cabinet. There are (I thought) 25 systems you can setup for emulators.

Don't think you can change the splash screen.

15 in settings.exe 20 through editing pinballx.ini see

should be possible to load games using pinballx heck someone even used it to display comicbooks using a comic book reader. since you are a lifetime member you should also have access to gameex but i have never looked at it and don't know exactly if it has the same look as pinballx"

I did try gameex as well although I truly enjoy the layout of pinballx for the UI

the large title icons in a wheel would be perfect.

I will give it a go. Changing the pinballx boot up logo would be my only snag. If gameex has the ability to clone the pinballx game select that would be amazing

not sure if it's that what your looking for but check PinballX\Media\Startup Images or browse through the other folders in media sections not belonging to a system to see if you can replace any

You may also want to try GameEx Arcade Edition, which is derived from classic GameEx and optimized for cabinet use. You can replace the text logos with the round docklet logos if you choose and it supports a wheel menu, only vertically oriented.

Below is a demo of an alternate theme from the default.

Also worth mentioning is that if you are using PinballX for MAME arcade you can use GameEx to create the game lists. They will be put in the data folder of GameEx.
