Tom Speirs Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Thanks. Please turn off that setting I suggested. Also perhaps try LAV 0.72 instead of 0.71.
Jeremy27041980 Posted October 2, 2018 Author Posted October 2, 2018 LAV 0.72 intalled. Reduce CPU desactivated. No luck.....
Tom Speirs Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 hmm. Really not sure. If you can find any consistency to the issue please let me know and maybe I can track it down. Thanks. Tom.
Jeremy27041980 Posted October 2, 2018 Author Posted October 2, 2018 Could i run Gameex with another codecs that LAV ? (like ffdshow or VLC codecs ?)

Jeremy27041980 Posted October 2, 2018 Author Posted October 2, 2018 When i delete LAV, I coudn' run my videos on Gameex.. For testing purpose, i want to try another codecs that LAV. (see my post above) Thanks for your patience.
Tom Speirs Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Yes and I see no reason why not. It just requires "DirectShow" codecs.
Jeremy27041980 Posted October 2, 2018 Author Posted October 2, 2018 You're right, it's not a codec issue. Perhaps it's a setting in the video player used in Gameex to play videosnap.... I really don't know. Can you try using your own gameex and scrolling game's roms list between 0 and 2 minutes... See if a video with a smooth scrolling play choppy ? Thanks for helping.

It's ok to do this as the cache files will rebuild. Sometimes something cached becomes corrupt and is not overwritten or is overwritten with a corrupt file. Have you tried this yet?
Jeremy27041980 Posted October 2, 2018 Author Posted October 2, 2018 Yes, same issue. I will post 2 video, One smooth and one choppy. Coud you see the difference?
tthurman Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 I'm not seeing it, or I'm missing it if I am. Out of curiosity, does it do it if you drop back to 1080?
Jeremy27041980 Posted October 2, 2018 Author Posted October 2, 2018 Look at the scrolling of the second videosnap. It's choppy. Whatever resolution i choose, same problem...
tthurman Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 I admit this is a long shot, but I read about this in BF1 and figured it couldn't hurt to post it. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1004600/geforce-drivers/all-games-stuttering-with-fps-drops-since-windows-10-creators-update/post/5235141/#5235141

Draco1962 Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Using Secret Agent as an example, I thought I might have caught a stutter or skip in the cycle chase while the video is playing via GameEx. I located the file secretag.mp4 in my mame\avisnap folder and I ran it through VLC as well as Media Player and noticed what I thought was the skip in the same place (first or second time the cycle shifts back then forward) but this is likely due to the action and the sounds generated as it was recorded and may not be what @Jeremy27041980 is referring to.
Jeremy27041980 Posted October 2, 2018 Author Posted October 2, 2018 I have recorded all my videosnaps with OBS (h264 60fps) and reencoded with Sony Vegas (h264 60 fps). I think secret agent is a good example to see the chopiness of the scrolling . But if i look precisely, all my videos have the same issue at some point in Gameex, not in VLC or Media player or Launchbox...
Jeremy27041980 Posted October 4, 2018 Author Posted October 4, 2018 I think i found something.... When i play any video on Media Classic (not VLC or Windows Media Player), I have the same behavior as described in Gameex. When i use MadVr in Media Classic, videos play smooth. Is it possible to use MadVr for playing VIdeosnaps in Gameex ?
Draco1962 Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Were there any settings you had to change in MadVR or just the "out of the box" defaults?
Jeremy27041980 Posted October 4, 2018 Author Posted October 4, 2018 I have upload a screen cap. It's just the "out of the box" defaults
Tom Speirs Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Hi. No madvr support for snaps. Only regular videos
Jeremy27041980 Posted October 4, 2018 Author Posted October 4, 2018 Thanks for the answer. Maybe in future update... If it's possible.... Or a change or an upgrade in the video renderer... With all this, do you have a beginning of explanation for my problem , even is it's not related to Gameex... i have play a video movie in gameex with madvr and it's super smooth.
Tom Speirs Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Hi. Sorry but I don't know right now. If you wanted to share some of the videos I can try and duplicate it when I get a chance. Maybe something to do with the encoding or the decoder.
