Latest update completely destroyed my install

Sooo gameex update came out so after installing it and self rebooting it asked to do it again...and again..and after like the 5th time it completly corrupted my install.  So I reinstalled gameex and tried to restore my origional setup and it corrupted that as well.   Now im in full panic mode because it looks like Ill have to start from scratch

A backup is generated by default during an upgrade.

Subsequent installs and reinstalls my have overwritten this, but it's worth looking into.

The same thing happened to me except after the 3rd time I downloaded a new the setup and installed it that way. I knew to do that because it's happened to me before. Hopefully, you can get it fixed. Good luck to you, I wish I had some good advice for you. It doesn't help now, but I always do a backup before I do an update, just in case.

I apologise for it keep trying to update. I had updated the version number but had neglected to upload the setup file to the right place. Again, sorry.

Hey Tom,

You might consider adjusting the config backup feature so it doesn't overwrite the last backup file...or perhaps keep the last 5 backups.
