Can you attach copies of your log.txt and pinballx.ini files? Also need to know if it ever worked for you and what video capture/editing software you may have installed.

Thanks for answering.

I will send these files tomorrow. But I don't want to record any videos, I just want to take screenshots of some VPX tables. This feature worked fine for me on version 2.96.

Here are the files you mentioned: log.txt and pinballx.ini

Thanks for helping me.

It may be up to someone else to help troubleshoot your error as I do not use the feature, but those files are generally requested. Others may be required as troubleshooting commences.

Hi,

I have the same issue - see post from last week. Unfortunately no answer as yet, but thankfully it's not just me!

Hi,

I'm glad to know that this issue is not happening only with me! :D

Let's patiently wait for an answer or (maybe) an update to Pinballx.

Hi,

This feature changed in an update. Please go into the setup wizard and check your input settings.

Hi,

First of all, thanks for answering.

The screenshot key was properly assigned on the setup, but the function does not work at all.

More or less, that's it.

Greetings

Okay, as long as you aware the feature changed and that they are also put into a different location now. I will test later.

Thanks again.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Greetings.

Okay, so to confirm though the images are no longer put in the screengrab folder but the playfield and backglass folders. Also the key may need to be redefined. Replying to the others too.

On my side screenshot feature is fixed with 3.07 updaqte THANX

But, shots and video generated is 180° rotated this is fixable?

Thank you very much for the update 3.07

For image Screenshot:

Playfield : ok in table images but also in screengrab

Backglass : Nothing in backglass images an Nothing in screengrab backglass ?

Worked well in the two directories screengrab with old version 2.xx

Its working as expected for me.

Like I say the feature was improved.

If the filename does not exist it will put it in images if its an additional grab it will put it in screengrabs.

Yes, the images are rotated now because this is the format PinballX uses.

If it is not working like that please post your log and ini files.

Thanks.

Tom.

Image Screenshot:

Playfield:

If not exist in table image, one image created in table image is ok

If exist in table image, created 2 images in screengrab:  xxxx + xxxx_1 (every time 2 images)

Backglass:

Nothing if exist or not exist

I can see a couple of reasons of why it wouldn't capture the backglass.

1. Because you don't have the games backglass set to hidden.

2. Because PinballX is trying to capture a DirectX window and its just grabbing a black image. In which case it wont save it.

Yes my problem is the point 1 now it is ok

Thank you very much for your help and your job
