Draco1962
Can you please download and install the latest version 14.82 of GameEx Arcade and let us know if the problem resolves? Thanks.
tthurman
Also, if you recently updated to the new AMD software suite, make sure you don't have raptr, gaming evolved installed. This app causes consistent crashes with GameEx. If you do, a quick uninstall in the add/remove section of the control panel is a quick fix after a reboot. Tom Speirs
Looks like a plugin issue to me. I don't think the Op actually means its "crashing" rather its not launching games?
jimmyz2496
yes. it appears as though the game is about to launch but instead the screen goes black and then it returns to the launch screen. I uninstalled and then reinstalled and got the same result
Tom Speirs
No worries, again I think one of the plugins you have enabled is causing it.
jimmyz2496
any idea of which plugin?
Tom Speirs
Please just use trial and error and I am assuming the log above is with you actually trying to launch a game?
Draco1962
Generally you can disable all plugins and the try enabling one at a time until you find the one that breaks.

Adultery
Preloaded games? GameEx doesn't come with any games.
jimmyz2496
when i downloaded the gameEx arcade edition and went through the set up, there were tons of old school arcade games already there. weird. but again, they dont load. the screen says play now and when you press enter, the screen goes black and sends you back to the game launcher screen. The actual games are not included. Just the media sources to show off GameEx capabilities.
Draco1962
GameEx Arcade Edition does not download with preloaded games of any kind. There might be some pre-populated paths, but it is pretty much a blank slate waiting for you to install your emulators and ROMs. Please keep in mind that we do not discuss or provide instructions for obtaining game ROMS, big no-no and against forum rules, so please don't ask for assistance with the same. Nothing in the Emulation world gets preloaded with roms. Nothing. If it does it is most likely illegal. We don't do illegal here. What we do though, is get you running quick! Check the previous posts, take the advice, and you'll be running in no time!

tthurman
Welcome to the GameEx community jimmyz2496 Your not the first person that has made this mistake, and won't be the last. Some functionality needed to be in there to demonstrate how it works, although really nothing does. It's the same way with PBX, and very likely many other frontedns out there. Once you get up and going, if you have any issues, please start another topic that addresses those concerns. Since this wasn't a GameEx crashing issue, I'm going to go ahead and mark this one resolved. Good Luck!
