Cant beat a bit of new wave :) If i was stuck on a desert island, i'd have that song & the Harry Nilson's Coconut song from reservoir dogs...

Ok, the download link has been updated, so everything should be in order.

If anyone has downloaded the previous version, and would like to make use of the white toolbar font, without downloading the whole lot again, the download this zip which contains snaps & theme.inis: White_Toolbar_Upgrade.zip

I need a little help on this theme... I'm not sure how to descibe the issue. It runs askew on my tv. The far right hand side of the theme is in the middle of my tv and the mouse stops in the middle. moving the mouse left across the theme, it disapears on the left had side of the tv and reapears on the right hand side... any thoughts?

Love the look of the theme though... very nice quality job.

FYI... I tried the 800x600 version and it works just fine... it's only the 1024x768 that is giving me problems. I'd still like to find a resolution.

Thanks.

That sounds bizarre Efe :huh:

The theme layouts are identicle in both resolutions, the only thing which is different is the font size. I cant really think of anything to help, i've never hooked it up to a tv before. Do other themes work on your tv at 1024 res?

Anyone else got any ideas?

amos.. I should have checked that first, before busting in on your thread. All 1024x768 themes act this way for me. :( Any thoughts here would be appreciated. I'll probably create a new thread for this issue soon though.

Thanks.

FYI... after further research, it appears my TV is having a problem with that resolution... I get the same effect if I just set the windows resolution to 1024x768. :( I'm normally running windows at 1368x768. Good news is your theme is not the problem. :)

Maybe it your vrefresh. Depending if you're using s-video or component, you might want to try 60 Hz or 59Hz in display properties in Windows to see if that fixes the problem in 1024.

Just a thought

I love the look of this theme, its stunning, but everytime I try to go into an emulator it crashes out :( its as its about to display the list of games it blows me out :( could this be anything to do with the fact that I'm trying to run the 800 by 600 version of the theme at 640 by 480... I'm using an arcade monitor so I can't go any higher than this... anychance you could make a 640 by 480 version? I can go inot the most played section but not any emulator

ah i'm having the same problem as Stu using 800x600

I've tested the theme at its native 1024x768 and also 800x600 resolution (different theme.ini),

it's worked in both cases, so im not sure where the problem is.

Are you trying to run the theme at a lower resolution than these, like Stu?

If so that's the problem, the theme can only be run at 1024x768 or 800x600 depending on the theme.ini used.

Here's a couple of suggestions which might get it working:

1. If you are running the 800 x 600 make sure you've followed the instructions in the '800 x 600 Resolution' folder.

2. try adding these lines to the theme.ini before the [Taskbar] section

GradientTitleFont=false
LowerCaseTitleFont=false
MenuFontSameSize=true

any good?

thanks amos, your 3 lines of code fixed it. laugh.gif

Good to know, i was wondering what it could be! I think the line that fixed it was: MenuFontSameSize=true

This reduces the size of the area needed for the menu/database box.

I take it I'm just out of luck running it at 640 by 480? I don't need any of the hidden buttons or anything I just love the background and layout, is there an easy way for me to modify the ini to make it work? I don't know much about theme creation

I'll see what i can do, i wasn't able to do it before, (the menu/database area used to cause errors, like scurvy experienced)

but since a few more options have become available since the theme was made, it might work now.

[EDIT] Sorry guys, its not possible to convert the theme to 680 x 480. I've tried for the last hour or so, and i cant get the layout to work, in fact, i cant even get the menu/database at the bottom of the screen without errors!
