sprudel
Hi everyone, I would like to ask if it's possible to increase the number of available Emulator slots in Gameex from 62 to at least 99. Reason is that I love testing many emulators (for most of them I have just a couple of roms) and I don't want to override the settings again when checking out a new one. Many thanks and kind regards, Thomas
tthurman
This would be a good post for the Feature & Enhancements Requests The layman in me wouldn't think that would be a huge deal to add more, but instead that Tom felt 62 was more than enough. Then again, what do I know
Adultery
I think you can add more manually in the configuration file directly, so it's more of a GUI limitation.
Tom Speirs
I just checked and it goes up to about 250? Where did you get 60 from?
DazzleHP
Ban me, troll alert. LOL.
sprudel
Thanks for all your answers. When I am using the GameExConfig.exe editor I have a limit of 62 emulators. If I can simply add more by editing the config manually it'll be fine.
stigzler
Post your log,m spridel (GameEx>Log>Log.txt What version of GameEx are you using?
Draco1962
It must be a much older version - presently this is what I see...
sprudel
Hi all, many thanks again. I have attached the log file. So in the meantime I think I was able to solve this question: since I have been using GameEx for approx. 5 years now it seems that I was always using the (obsolete) GameEx Setup application (the GameExConfig.exe)...the executable has the mod date: 2011-03-20..wow! I will use now the SetupWizard.exe (in the post shown by Draco), which is slightly newer: 2016-11-17 :-) Thanks again for your support! Kind regards, Thomas log.txt
stigzler
Did using the new version solve the problem?
sprudel
Yes, topic can be closed. My GameEx version was always up-to-date but I was using a legacy executable for the setup. Maybe a future version of GameEx could make sure old files are deleted during update?
Draco1962
Usually it does so. Best to download whenever possible and install over the top. Glad you got it sorted!
