Failed initializing directdraw

This is the error that I get when trying to start a game (winkawaks) using GameEX.  Outside of GameEX the application starts and runs with no problems.  Have all the latest DirectX drivers, Running Windows 10 64bit Pro.  Have searched these forums and googled to no fix, please help.

I installed this on my PC at the office and get the exact same problem.

Suggestion:

In the display settings within the GameEx Configuration Wizard change whatever setting you have under Window/Fullscreen just to see if it has any impact.  You may also need to toggle the setting under Fullscreen windowed too depending on whether or not this has any effect.

You might want to check into this or dig into a search on it.

I believe; and somebody please correct me if I'm just way off here, that what you may be experiencing is possibly the byproduct of legacy DirectX api support, and some conflict with the GameEx code since Directdraw was sunset sometime ago.  That's my best guess anyway, especially since it works outside of GameEx.

Fixed problem, Installed Windows 7 dual boot with 10.  Works with no issues under Win. 7 Pro.
