Hey! I have tried for weeks for get this all worked out and I'm stumped. I have the most updated gameex and MAME versions. I can get MAME to work outside of gameex, AND I can also get it working as an emulator inside gameex, but for the life of me I cannot get Integrated MAME to work... I would have just settled for emulator MAME, but all the rom titles are all wacky. I have updated the list of roms, and I've read every forum post for help but I am out of ideas. I"m sure it's probably just an easy fix, but I'm pulling my hair out over this. Thanks for the help!

Please post c:\gameex\log\log.txt after running a mame game along with \config\gameex.ini. Please attach these file. It looks like you did something odd with this post and pasted them into the tags.

If you know what you are doing you can diagnose the issue by looking at \data\runitgame.bat

Tom, thanks for responding. I can't get a mame game to play through the integrated mame. It acts like it's going to play, minimizes and tries to go to the mame emulator, then goes immediately back to gameex, or says "file not supported" or something like that, even though I can play it on mame outside of gameex.

i put the ini file in the tag because my last post someone got annoyed with me for posting it in the text body and told me to post it in the tags... Seems like I can never  even get my post in order enough to get some help!

i can post the ini later... Thanks!

I think that when it was suggested to use tags, it was meant for you to use spoiler tags. The "eye" icon in the tool bar when you start a new conversation or reply in a thread sets that up for you.

If you are using mame32, change the setting for Use AdvanceMAME  to false.

I don't believe AdvanceMAME should be set for any reason now. Although I think RocketLauncher users that setting? Maybe that is the reason this issue has popped up a few times now?

I think some not using RL think that it is Advanced MAME settings not realizing that Advance MAME is a separate program.

So if I disable advanced mame, it should take care of the problem? Is it trying to use both programs, and since I don't have advance mame, it's just stopping before a rom can be played? I think I had advanced mame disabled before, and only enabled it to see if I could fix this problem. I'll try it out and post my results!

It may fix a problem, but may not fix the problem. If you do not use Advance MAME,  then it should be disabled. Please provide a new copy of your gameex.ini and log.txt files once finished. Thanks!

Don't feel stupid. We all miss simple things and have Homer moments...Doh..then proceed to slap ourselves repeatedly on the forehead!

GameEx's advantage is also it's disadvantage, it has many options. This is great because it allows you to do almost anything you can think of, but can also make it overwhelming at first. Hang in there, you'll get it. And if not, we're always here to help.
