I recall Dad taking me to the Harlem Globetrotters on more than one occasion while we still lived in Louisville. It was a real bonus for a young impressionable kid like myself during a rough period of time with rioting and marches as a result of forced busing to the intercity schools. Quite the showman Meadowlark was, and their exhibition games went a long way to making a rather dark period of time a little less dismal, may he RIP.
