The prices have already been adjusted and lifetime gameex with lifetime online access with free upgrade to Evolution when available will not be available after October. Xinz Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Oh well, I'm late.My failed plan was waiting until black friday to buy gameex/hyperspin/emumovies licenses, hoping for a discount. I don't know what stings more, if going to buy it last christmas but not doing it, or randomly checking the webiste 23h after the deal was over.Because I don't want to be late again, I just followed the news subforum, and hopefully I'll get mail notifications when things are announced. Maybe mails are already being sent but are going to my spam folder, or perhaps I unchecked the option to send notifications when I made the account. I hope this fixes it. I see "send me news and information" is checked, so I'm not sure if I should have got any mails about this?Anyway, it's ok, I'm not complaining. Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to whatever the future brings to this project!

Something possessed me to check on the progress of GameEx Evolution tonight and I see I missed this by a couple days.No worries, but I'd like to respectfully echo Qorl's thoughts -- an e-mail to current license holders or something would be much appreciated if this deal returns. Is there something I can do to receive this kind of information? "Send me news and information" is checked in my profile as well.

We have that "send me news and information" checked in our profiles however, so I guess people who may complain would have no valid reasons to do so. Anyway, I'm sure in this particular case, where such a drastic change was going to be made, with several warnings on the forums, it would have been welcome by most of the potential complainers. Just a thought for future improvements.

I wouldn't suggest unwanted e-mails either, but if an "opt-in" options exists there's really no cause for compliant. We are simply giving some feedback about not getting notified by mail about a drastic change, especially when we had that checkbox selected. It didn't happen, we said it was ok, it's my fault for not checking every month or... just being unlucky. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and I lost. It was nothing I could control. I had no way of knowing these announcements were being posted. Since I've got mails from other projects when limited sales were going on, I was confident I wasn't missing anything. Considering this was not a regular sale but something that will change forever, a mail would have been more useful in this case.But it's ok, I accept it and understand and respect the point of view of the staff. You can't please everyone, and if you send mails someone else will come and say you didn't do something else. I tried to carefully make my post so nobody would get upset, and I think Tom understood it. I just wanted to say I was sad and some ways I think the situation could have been improved. To explain my situation, because it's not like I ignored all the warnings and then complained. I appreciate the work everyone does here for free, and I'm making no demands. Information is good however, and this feedback may or may not be useful in the future. That's not up to me, and it's fine. I see you did all you could to please everyone, really.

I think we can all agree that we are passionate about this hobby and value the members and friends made through these forums and generally appreciate the effort Tom makes to keep the frontend fresh and relevant. He takes the feedback seriously and makes his best effort to get the word out and please as many as he can. Thanks for sharing your points of view and ideas.
