i've been out of loop with Arcade since my little boy was born (he's 4 now) and had to dump my full size cabinet.

now i'm in the process of building a bartop style cabinet.

my question is

i had a fully paid version of gameex licence. would that still work?

if so how can i get a licence file again (thats if it is still activated in that way)

You may want to refer to this thread explaining how licensing works now. Likely will want to purchase a GameEx Lifetime Member (Evolution) license to ensure that you have access to all registered features online and otherwise and have access to Evolution when it is released.

Please don't take any offence from this I was a big fan of gameex when I was originally building my 1st arcade cab. But I think the whole XP media centre functions starting to feel a bit dated compared to the rival competition of hyperspin. I know there's awesome functions with online things etc. But the look and feel is starting to feel dated. Is there any plans to move away the wmc backbone?

In the upper right hand corner there is a drop down arrow next to your username, click it, and choose client area.

In the client area, at the lower left hand of the screen is a contact email. You can use this to email address to inquire about your current license. Your current license should work fine unitl Evoltuion is launched, and support for GameEx is eventually sunset.

There is also subscription based information on the client page, FTP access etc., but that's your call if you need those features.
