Welcome to the GameEx forums!

Have you updated after you made any configuration changes?

Does your romset match your mame relase, 0.161? If you're running an old 0.145 set, with a new MAME build, that's not recommneded, especially with that much difference in releases.

If your set matches the release, you could try renaming your current listinfo to something like oldlistinfo.dat, and then go back into GameEx, and run update to rebuild a new one.

We need to see your gamex.ini

Hi

I run gameex with mame 0161 with only 1 rom in the directory "rom" and I have the same result

thanks for you're help

hmmm

Double check and ensure your paths are correct.

Try these configuration changes

Only Working - Yes

Allow Imperfect - Yest

Verifgy - No

Only Existing - Yes

Then remember to update list within GameEx, and try again

I'm a bit confused..

How can you use the same rom set and point two different mame builds at it and have both be proper to the version?

I'm guessing that there's an issue with the mame.exe since the list comes from there.

delete listinfo.dat

verify path

Path ok ( verify with test on wizard)

custom mame

Only Working - Yes

Allow Imperfect - Yes

Verify - No

Only Existing - Yes

run gameex

Same result block a 25%

ps : Then remember to update list within GameEx --> ?? --> how I do this ?

thanks for help

Inisde GameEx, click Mame, scroll to the bottom "update list"

Takes awhile with a full romset.

I take it he is upgrading from an old build, and has a directory for 0.145, and a directory for 0.161, but has configured it GameEx to point to the 0.161 directory, and has simply moved his old roms out of the rom folder, and put a single rom from 0.161 there.

Correction, Mame, not Home

Yeah that's my guess too. Which typically doesn't work. ;)

As I said before, it's probably your mame.exe.

Hello

I've found the solution for all version > .145

I download mame 0.161

I decompress it

I keep only directories (roms, snap) and mame.exe and after I execute gameex

I choose personalize option and i choose only mame settings

I choose parameters option : path mame, mame.exe, path roms, path snap , that all

4 ) cross to finish

5 ) update liste confirm

6) that's ok liste created with no problem

I think that some files block with this delete it's all right

thanks for all :)
