tthurman
I've never used snaps, but ever since I registered GameEx I've planned to take advantage of the 25% to add that extra touch, and I've procrastinated long enough.Upon putting the lifetime sub in my cart I am greeted to the add-ons page. Are these 480p vs. 240p options just to get them on disc, or do the represent higher resolutions than those you get with the download version? Thanks! hansolo77
All my vidsnaps that I have are "Video_MP4_HI_QUAL" which when looking at them are all 640x480 resolution. I haven't updated in a long time, so there may be better qualities now than there was before. However, if you have a HUGE rom collection, remember each of these video collections are rather large in size. My NES collection alone has 1.90gb of data. I got all of mine through the downloader too. Something else to consider is the theme you are using. If your theme has a smaller "window" for the artwork, the 240p option might be a better choice since you're not really going to need the higher resolution.
tthurman
Since my situatuion will be plugging my CP into a 40" LCD, I'm thinking the higher res the better. From your experience, it sounds like the add on media is really more of a convenience factor. Thanks
hansolo77
EmuMovies has more than movies too... he has all the snaps, titles, box arts, manuals, etc too. If you don't mind waiting for the downloads, its a better way to go I think. If you order the discs, you have to PAY for them, plus shipping I believe. So downloading would be free (with the account subscription of course).

It'll only download artwork/media for roms you actually have, potentially saving loads of space Even more so if you have 70+ systems like ol' Han there

Draco1962
I've always preferred preserves. That way I never had to worry about the difference between the other two!

uberpubert69
You also could have been a supporting member by helping making snaps and video snaps for various systems/games that need it like me and you'd get access to all the videos on the FTP.
