Happy Fathers Day!. Even if you don't have human kids, you may be a dad to a dog, cat, or other creature of scales, feathers or fur, if you take good care of them, give them love and they love you back in return, you are still a dad in my book. If you have been a dad to a boy, be it a nephew, niece, or even kids in your neighborhood and given them the positive benefits of your care and knowledge, you are a dad!

While today is the day honored within the US, there are other areas of this vast world that celebrate it at other times and with probably other meanings. It is more than a "Hallmark Holiday." Learn more about how fathers are recognized here.

My kids made me a lovely Fathers Day card and I had a huge Full English breakfast (Not for the feint hearted).

I'll be going to see my dad next weekend, when I go home for one of our family reunions, but today we will get together with my wifes family to remember her dad who passed just this March. I remember as a kid wondering why such a big deal was made of these two days, but man, enjoy them while you can!!!

I asked my dad if he wanted to do anything today. We only have 1 car and my stepmom is taking it to work later, so we kinda don't have the option to go somewhere and DO something. I thought about maybe going to the Casino (he likes it, and it's about a block away) but that also seems kinda like a lame thing to do. Oh well, at least I told him Happy Father's Day, and that alone seems to be sufficient.

If he likes it go with him! Enjoy the walk together and the time spent. It may seem lame but the minutes he has with you away from the home will be worth it to him.

Yeah, except I live with him, and in fact minutes AWAY from him is more worth it.. LOL! Just kidding though, I love my dad.
