Hey guys finally was able to break ground on the construction and the cabinet sides came out nice. Will post a picture-laden topic in the near future. 2 last questions as far as software: 1: I know how to change the background image on the mame high score display screen.. Any way to make the font white instead of black? 2: Where is the image that acts as the info banner on the bottom of the screen during mame game screen saver? I'd like to customize it. Thanks !

I assumed that bezel.png file in gameex/media folder was the gameex -mame bezel displayed during vertical games on a horizontal display. I've created a bezel.png and replaced the existing bezel.png file, but the default gameex bezel still appears when I launch a vertical game.

So if I put video snaps in the cabinets folder, they will be in image 2, and if I have nothing elsewhere, my logos in my media folder will be image 1?

Hey, ended up figuring it out. I was sure the search_module.ini was for the keyboard part of the search, it in fact was for the results page. So, let's just chalk that one up to late night bloodshot eye syndrome hahaha. Lastly, is there a way to make the logo images assign to "image2" instead of "image1"? How does gameex know and assign what image 1 and image 2 is?

Ok, the "play game/add to favorites" screen is manipulated by editing theme.ini (custom modules) Have no clue how to manipulate the search results page. Anyone want to weigh in?

Can someone tell me where to edit the screen that pops up after selecting a game (play this game, add to favorites screen)? Don't seem to have a module .ini file for it? Also, how do you edit the screen that comes up AFTER entering a search query. (search results page).

Are you using the same null dc as listed in the beginning of my command? If not you need to replace nulldc_win32_release-no trace.exe with whatever version yours is

exactly as it is.. include the quotations and everything.

stick this in your command line field: Command=nullDC_Win32_Release-NoTrace.exe -config nullDC:Emulator.Autostart=1 -config ImageReader:LoadDefaultImage=1 -config ImageReader:DefaultImage="[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

That's an easy fix, I'm not sure what it is off the top of my head, but I will post my command line text when I get back to my machine. Glad it's running!

ok, I've abandoned the emulators idea, back to dedicated Mame and Daphne cab-- so therefore I should have my list parameters in a way where I don't need to worry about the font. Did a lot of work on the theme tonight, but have a few loose ends I need help clearing up... What is the name of the module for the screen you are brought to after returning to GameEx from a 'random' game? Also, what is the name of the module you are taken to after a search is conducted, and after exiting from selected searched game. These should be the last few minor issues I need to work out. I'd like to attach some screens, but hitting print screen and pasting into photoshop gives me just 800x600 pixels of black? Here is the marquee anyway...

Not sure. The number of fonts available in config wiz compared to the number available in Windows is greatly different.

Yes I'm keen to how the fonts work, and will definitely share my theme, but I ask because I have fonts installed within windows which dont show up in gameex font select. I.e. Terminal. I'm nowhere near my rig, but will typing the font in manually within the config work? I ask because in the GUI config a lot of my windows fonts aren't selectable within the config wizard

My theme is shaping up! Thanks for all the help guys! I'm wondering, is there a way to make the text within the selector like scroll if it doesn't fit in the allotted list frame? You know what I mean? Like the cut off- selected title would scroll like a ticker so you can read it all? There are a few longer titles and I want my video snaps to be bigger than what I'd have to set them to if if I make the list field wide enough to compensate for the longer titled games.

Hey guys, trying to configure a goodmerged rom set. Each rom is in .7z format, which my nintendo emulator (fceux) can recognize as a rom. Only problem is i'm prompted with which version of the rom (U), (E), (J), (HACK). Any way to issue a command to select the .7z archive, then to automatically launch the (U) version?? Please say so, because I need to locate either a different set or unzip each game individually and use the rom filter.
