Yea got it! the penny dropped just after i sent the post, everthing has installed ok, just 2 problems! my favorite theme "Talos" has no "Change view"? and Mame has no favorites folder? how do I implement one? and yes show favorites is selected in setup wizard

I have it in my old email folder but it wont let me open it says there is no prog to open it! regards

Just reinstalled gamex, How do I get my registration Back? Regards

The Assets folder contains all the artwork, carts,titles,videos,Box's,Snaps, etc. REgards

I have had to reinstall window 7 after a major virus infection give to me by a Friend?, I saved the following folders before I wiped my HDD " CONFIG,DATA,DATS,DEMO,LOADERS,LOG,MAP FILES,MEDIA,PLUGINS,THEMES. I also saved the "Assets" folder from windows. Am I right in believing this would give me back my original setup?, and would I need to paste the ASSETS folder or is this covered by the above folders?.Regards a lover of GameEx. Also can Gamex be installed on an External drive?, I have a 3 terrabyte external one with all my Gamex stuff on it and plenty of room.

No startup video , as regards to the HDD , GameEx is on the main C Drive which is a brand new 238 gig SSD, 1 month old,Could be a windows reinstall been having a few weird events over the last month!

Ok backed up the GameEx folders and uninstalled GameEx, Reinstalled GameEx and its still coming up with "GameEx Has Stopped working" Checked the event viewer and the only errors are "atapi" ones (39 last hr) (538 last 24hrs) 91378 last 7 days)

I just went to start GameEx and it came up with "GameEx has stopped working!! .Can I reinstall GameEx without losing all my setup? Tried once before and lost all the settings dont want that if I can help it! its a lot of hard work. REGARDS Frank

Can anyone be of any help? when open my emulators I get some Roms at the top of the list out of order (4 or 5) then 2 or 3 spaces and then the games are in order, even the ones at the top that are out! are repeated in the Rom list this happens on all the emulators, I have deleted the cache files in GameEx but its still the same HELP !! its prob something simple I bet also 1 or 2 of the roms are incorrectly miss spelt in the list but not in the Rom folder!!?? strange . Regards

Is there anyway that a Dreamcast controller can be used on a PC ? as I have 4 brand new ones still boxed. Regards Frank

Sorted !!! it was C:\Emulators\Sega Dreamcast it should have been C:\Emulators nullDC. God knows how it got changed!, Thanks a lot for all your help man and being so patient. REGARDS.

When I run nullDC on its own the games load but I have to press escape to get out of them, If that's any help. I have tried ALL the games in GameEx and none load!

did the above but still the same just takes a bit longer to close down. Regards. All my other emus run fine but not dreamcast! it really is strange it was running fine 2 weeks ago,since then all I have done is download hd game videos & box art!

Tried both command lines and its still the same as regards to the 4b item did as you said and added pause to the end of the file & saved it and then ran it, all I got was a flash of a rectangle on screen and nothing
