  1. Sounds good Adultry... call me stupid, but what's "a Sam Coupe"?
  2. I wasn't happy with the old Ivy either, it was too 'standard' Thanks for the kudos Thanks, the DS is one of my new favorite baks. Yeah, that's basically what I'm focusing on, more of the really old, obscure ones. Basically, I'm filling up Valhalla to encompass just about every system, past, present, and NEAR future (PS2, DS, etc). So if you have a favorite system, let me know, and I can work on it. Any ideas for Amstrad CPC and Vectrex?? Give me an idea or picture and I can try to roll with it.
  3. I've been 'dabbling' into my theme lately, and decided to expand 'backwards' instead of 'forwards' this time. So, instead of doing a full +40mb redownload, I'm just throwing up the new .baks for quick DLing. Here's a few new 'Retros': An optional NeoGeobak and two of the 're-touched' baks: Night gave me a heads up that a few of the old background characters were stretching into the image/video box, so I've actually corrected those. I also took it upon myself to adjust the contrast levels on a few baks so they don't look so dark. On top of those changes, I actually revised a handful of baks that I found better character images for, and created a few new icons. ...whew, I've been busier than I thought... Anyways, I'll still be working on these, and I'll be posting new baks when I make them, up until I have a full "Valhalla 2.0" to pack together and release. I was on a roll, but now I'm in a rut. I still need game/character suggestions for ANY of the systems I haven't created yet, so throw me an idea and it'll be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks all.
  4. That was the funniest thing I heard all day long! I guess for now I'll just stick with the Google Desktop's search features. Sweet Jeebas!! That's horrible. Is there any way they can find out who did it and then shoot his ass?
  5. Haha, that's exactly what it feels like -> "What's happened??"
  6. Wow, I've just realized I've been 'out of the loop' for a while now My current version of GameEx is at 7.05. Downloading now. Keep up the good work, Tom!
  7. GameEx on a PS3 running Linux versions of my favorite emulators... That'll be the sexiest thing on earth. Like, 10x more sexy than Jessica Alba, because you can actually use that without getting Maced. But is your PS3 working good? No overheating or random crashes?
  8. How is that PlayStation.... er, 'Foreman Grill' doing for ya?
  9. Version 1.2 is out. The only real difference between the original and the 'upgrade' is the following: - Added BAKs to the following consoles: - Atari Lynx - Sony PSP - PS2 - XBox - Nintendo DS - Nintendo GameCube - Did a slight revision with the mediabar buttons - Some slight revisions with a few PNGs (both Icons and BAKs) Changes were 'slight', but no worries, I'm planning on doing more than this for future 'upgrades'. Eventually I'll start adding BAKs for older systems, so unless you know a DS or PS2 emulator that's showing promise, or if you desperately need an Atari Lynx bak, there's not yet a need to download Valhalla all over again.
  10. NOTE: This is NOT a problem with GameEx itself, but a compatibility problem. I don't know if anyone's addressed this. If so, go ahead and tell me to remove it. Problem: When using GameEx, I would scroll into Emulators, pick an emulator (Ex: N64), and inside my Intro Videos wouldn't play. I would then exit the emulator and discover that ALL of the Icons and Videos have disappeared. Finally, I'd try to exit GameEx, and then the entire program would freeze up on me. If I was in Full screen mode, it would mean I'd have to reboot to exit out. Solution: The problem was the CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack), but more specifically the Haali Media Splitter's "Enable AVI Support". For the love of God, keep that option UNCHECKED if you're using .AVI videos in GameEx. If you use Codec Packs, and are having problems in GameEx with video playback and unexpected crashes, check the Codec settings. Specifically the 'Haali Splitter' settings, and possibly even the 'ffdshow' settings.
  11. I hear that! Fighters rock! If you need help with anything, I can try to give you a hand. Can you do me a favor? If you ever find the Carnage model from the Spiderman vs Carnage YouTube video, PLEASE let me know!
  12. So do you want to combine the Mega Pack 1 and Mega Pack 2 from "UG", and still add more files to make one massively complete MUGEN system???? ... Let me know if you want some help. It sounds rad!
  13. My bad... I always remembered the Last Game in one of the higher menus... I'll dig deeper and see what I find. The 'insert coin to play' screensaver thing started working again, and I have no clue what stopped it. I think the REAL problem is my lack of sleep lately... hahaha.
  14. Hey Tom, Am I completely stupid, or has the 'Play Last Game' option disappeared? Going hand-in-hand with that: the Screensaver/Attract mode option of 'inserting a coin to play shown game' isn't working. I insert a coin, the game registers a new coin, and then exits to the gameex start menu. I did a fresh uninstall/reinstall, but it didn't help. Just curious about it.
  15. SOMEONE READ MY MIND!!!!!!!!!!!! I just looked into MUGEN when I saw the Spiderman vs Carnage video on YouTube, and I HAD to have it. So far, it's pretty sweet, but every website I go to find characters is long since 404'd. Does anybody have the Venom and Carnage models from the YouTube videos?
  16. I can't really help you out on the MNG video format, but if you're willing to settle for a complete set of MAME .AVI videos, be sure to check out the EmuMovies site: http://www.emumovies.com/Arcade_Releases.htm
  17. Nope, no problems with video, either.
  18. WMP11 is working A-OK with GameEx as far as audio. I haven't tried watching DVDs or Videos through it yet. I'll get back to you after I do.
  19. Damn, and I stumbled into this article and was going to post it, but Tom beat me to it... Still, the part I thought was the best: "CONS: Can't think of any" Kudos to a great program!
  20. LingPanda, those Flash tutorials are AWESOME! Top notch job on making an extremely handy tutorial!
  21. Only QuickTime files version 2.0 or earlier can be played in Windows Media Player. Later versions of QuickTime require the proprietary Apple QuickTime Player.
  22. I actually have a 2.8Ghz P4HT. It runs really good, but I can't compare it to a non-HT. I wouldn't waste money on such a minor upgrade, though. Best to do what TSpeirs said and save for a dual core if performance is an issue.
  23. I wonder how M$ came up with a concept like 'tabbed browsing'... Either way, the new IE7 is better at CSS code than IE6 (I'm a web-developer by day), but I HATE HATE HATE the new interface. I can't find crap!! And good 'ol M$: Once you install something 'new and better' you can't 'roll it back' to the old. jerks
  24. Uniformity wouldn't be a bad idea, but I think for the most part everyone is using a similar naming system (usually "[consolename]BAK.png", no 'C')
  25. Good to see that your 'AllInOne' is still alive and kicking! Best of luck finding the art you need for all those consoles, It's EXTREMELY hard with older consoles. But you know that already
