  1. I absolutely agree!!! But what's the news? I see version 11.57 is just comin' out!
  2. Yes, GameBase64 is running good outside GameEx. Please, continue checking.... Alpha.
  3. Thanks Tom!!!
  4. Hello gamers! Please, could you give me some advice on how to make GameBase64 Collection up and working in GameEx? I have a separate collection of games with snaps, titles, etc... For these I set up CCS64 among other emulators in Setup Wizard. But no way to see the GameBase64 collection - I enabled and setup my main gamebase directory, with no avail. What else should I do now? 5. Thanks, thanks, thanks! Your efforts are memorable! Keep up the good work!
  6. You're welcome, mate. [ Di niente, e mi fa piacere che hai postato un feedback ] @Tom Thanks for having accepted my translation.
  7. Hello Tom, hello to everyone! I've re-translated and improved the clarity of Italian language file (imho). Feel free to include it in the next release. P.S.: I couldn't fine the string "Configuration" (I mean the one you find in "Application and Setup") in any language file, nor in the GameEx.ini. Therefore, just a couple of things remains untranslatable, like the "Create Snaps" options (Use 20 seconds between, use 40 seconds between, and so on...). Maybe the are hard-coded? Regards, AlphaUMi. 8. It seems you have forgotten to attach the config file, or maybe you tried to attach it with its native extension (ini). The forum will not allow you to attach such kind of files. Zip it and re-upload. I know GameEx crashes if there is something different with the current theme... maybe migrating from one version to the newer caused the theme files not to be found. Try to use the setup wizard and select the default theme. Bye.
  9. Yes, all of you are right. I missed to pay attention to that setting. Now I have MAMEAudioMode=1, which means "Pause Playlist audio and run MAME with sound". This is the best choice for me.
  10. Ok, problem solved...
  11. Tried to attach file... GameEx.zip
  12. I have no sound with mame games (and only with mame games). Here's my ini file:
  13. Not sure if it's a bug or my fault configuring GameEx, but with the new version the following happens. Suppose I have a list of games, for example: ... Game A Game B Game C ... I select Game C (just to say so), go to the title screen, run the game and then return to the title screen. With backspace or the corresponding button in my joypad I go back to the game list... And I found Game B selected. In short, if I browse through menus without launching a game, all is good. But... if I run a game and then return to the game list, the game just above the one I ran is selected (the previous one, I mean). Any suggestion? Here is my ini file, just in case. GameEx.zip
  14. After further checking for this problem I can say it is definitively a residual install issue. Just delete all you GhostScript files AND delete leftover registry entries before upgrading. New users should not have this problem. Regards, Alpha.
  15. Ok guys, listen to me. I solved this problem. In the BlackGlass directory ( GameEx\THEMES\BlackGlass ), delete those *.ini files related to various console\arcade systems and keep only the main ini file "Theme.ini". I looked into the twin theme "BlueGlass" as a model and noticed the differences. Nothing too difficult. It's very simple instead. Thanks to mesk for make me aware of the "twin" theme. In the end, the BlackGlass folder should contain only the following files and folders: It worked like a charm for me. Let me know if this simple procedure works for you too.
  16. I use WinXP SP3, so it can't be a UAC issue. "My Program Files" folder has no limitations at all. I solved with the method explained above.
  17. Hello, I'm happy for the new brand update! But now with the issue: I'm using the Blacksreen theme, and while browsing through GameEx Menus, all is displayed correctly, until I come to the Nintendo SNES, Sega GENESIS and the follolwing (those displayed incorrectly are exactly following the Nintendo NES in my menu). For example, I attached a screen while displaying the incriminated list. Example Is this a known bug with the Black Glass theme? How can I solve this issue?
  18. What is this "*.uae method"??? I just downloaded WHDLoad pack, setted up WinUAELoader, but I got only a black screen when tried to execute a test run within the WinUAELoader UI. I followed the link provided in the WinUAELoader readme (which e read carefully) to download the WHDLoad set, but the files inside the zips are strange and obviously unrecognised by the emulator. For example in Shadow of the Beast zip there are the following files and directories: Shadow of the beast.info Shadow of the beast\Disk.1 Shadow of the beast\Disk.2 init Manual ReadMe ShadowOfTheBeast.info ShadowOfTheBeast.slave Solution Soluton.info What the hell is this set and how is it supposed to be used by the loader or gameex? But, first of all, what is the .uae method?
  19. Where can I find my custom list, in case I have one (I suppose to have one, due to the fact that my mame game names have brackets). Please Adultery, post a bit more detailed information on how to proceed, (at least until the next release..)
  20. Now the problem is solved for me... I downloaded and installed the latest OfflineGameManualInstall.exe. It installs Ghostscript 9.00. I was using the previous version (8.something). For users running Win XP 32 bit, there is an issue with the registry entries: the setup will ask you to add gs-32-bit.reg and gs-64-bit.reg. Don't add gs-64-bit.reg unless you actually have a Windows 64-bit OS. Furthermore, I noticed that the following entries are added with the Offline Manual Install: Now, these reg entries refer to an english installation of Windows. For non-english users the path to program files is different: in my case, for example, is: "C:\Programmi", for german users is "C:\Programme" and so on... Manually fixing the paths in question in the registry has solved the problem. Now I can view manuals using the GameEx interface. I hope this will be useful to other users with the same problem.
  21. Unfortunately I have the same problem... There is a solution for this issue? I will try to download and install the official Ghostscript package... I see GameEx uses GS in order to visualise pdfs... Thanks.
  22. Please, is there someone who can provide some support, or just give me some advice on this issue? Gamebase support is one of the most wanted features in my setup, but I can't get it up and working. The names are just scrambled. It seems like GameEx isn't reading the GB database...
  23. @ Adultery: thanks for the information! Just in case, attached is my ini file. I don't know about you, but in my country is late night. So good night and see you tomorrow! GameEx.zip
  24. Things are getting worse... I've tried to upload my ini file and got this error message: Error You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file. What should I do now? If it matters, I'm using the latest stable version of Firefox, Win XP SP3. P.S.: If you want, you can download my ini file from here.
  25. Hello! In the MAME setup wizard, I set to "Yes" the option to hide brackets for MAME games. In GameEX.ini there is this entry: RemoveBrackets=True. Updated game list two times. I still have MAME game with brackets. Please, could you tell me what I have to do in order to remove brackets from game list?
