  1. Is there any alternative website which lists which games are clones and which games are the parent files.. That's why I use Maws... does any other place list that?

    Maws

I noticed Maws over at mameworld is giving me a 403 error.. has never happened to me before.. are they down? does anyone else get this error http://maws.mameworld.info/ This is where I get my mame info so this driving me crazy
  3. That worked!!!! resolved
  4. For Sega CD isn't this the command.. isn't this it.. has it changed fusion.exe -scd -fullscreen "[ROMPATH]/[ROMFILE]" I did a double check for extra quotations.. but there are none there.. I haven't touched my sega cd config in months.. but after an update it doesn't work.. But it doesn't work in a strange way, usually when something doesn't work it just exits right back out to gameex.. But with this it just goes to a black screen and nothing happens.. and only if I hit my exit command does it return to gameex.. but than gameex is black and I just hear my backround music.. if I hit the esc command again.. then the gameex menu fully restores and I can see it again.. This seems more like a bug than just an error in command.
  5. That did it!!!! thanks so much!!
  6. I think Magic Engine must have changed a lot from the older version.. because It is difficult to apply what you said to how it currently seems to be operating..
  7. So my Turbo Graphics Trouble forum can be set to (resolved) (it was a matter of using the DT.. instead of SCSI) I'd like to thank frequency for all his help! But now a new problem.. My .cue file mounts.. but magic engine doesn't start.. I found on gameex forums people use this as there command for Magic Engine pce.exe syscard3.pce Unfortunatly these people use an older version of magic engine.. and I'm using the newest version. This version doesn't have a file called syscard3.pce I can run the games perfectly from magic engine.. but in gameex magic engine won't start.. Does anybody know a current workable command line for magic engine? My version is 1.1.3 I should also add I'm using this to emulate Turbo Grafx CD games.. not the regular roms And should also thank nullpointer for his help
  8. By seeing if my commands work outside of gameex.. do you mean I should I create a batch file? or just test in something like RUN.. and see if the command works there.
  9. It doesn't get around to launching magic engine.. my command line for the emulator itself is just this- pce.exe syscard3.pce I'm not using a batch file.. what does RTFOP stand for?
  10. Yes I do.. I know I read the same documentation.. Unfortunately what happens is.. if you put dtagent.exe instead of dtpro.exe... gameex just exits out back out to the gameex menu immediately.. with dtpro.exe at least it opens.. but maybe you do need to use dtagent.exe and I just don't know why it's exiting out to the gameex interface.
  11. I use Magic Engine.. I also use Daemon Tools Pro.. I've come up with this (launch before) command in gameex "C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\dtpro.exe" -mount 0,"[RomPath]\[RomFile]" What happens when I click on a rom in gameex is that it opens daemon tools but I see no mount occur.. and it never does occur.. an empty virtual drive has been set up.. but no mounting ever occurs.. So it is definitely recognizing the opening daemon tools part of the command, but not the mounting part. I based my command line on advice given by frequency here - (you will need to scroll down cause it starts off being about sega cd) But unlike what he is talking to I have daemon tools pro not daemon tools lite. I made sure to check for things like extra quotes and stuff like that.. but it all looks correct.. Any immediate advice to get this working before I export my settings?
  12. After disabling touch screen support which I don't have.. It seems that it's only the first page that's wrong.. my emulators are fine now.. and my other menus.. but the very first menu with it starts.. it's the horizontal menus.. I want it to start to my vertical home menu.. if I go to a emulator menu and press the back button.. it returns to my home settings the way I like.. but it doesn't start that way.. Thanks a lot that's a step in the right direction!
  13. The problem persists so there must be another issue.. as stated above I had the change view on when this problem started.. Is there somewhere in the gameex.ini that is responsible for the actual remembering of your last view settings.. To recap: I updated gameex.. when I started it I saw that my view settings were different from how they were before the update.. I then switched on the show change view settings in setup wizard.. I changed everything back to the way it used to be.. I exited gameex.. and when I returned.. It did not remember my view settings.. I then thought if I changed my view settings, exited gameex.. turned change view off.. that this might some how lock the settings I wanted.. this however didn't work.. which explains why change view was disabled when the ini was sent to you..
  14. I know.. I tried to see if I changed my view settings.. exit gameex.. and disabled and returned to gameex if it would then save my settings... it didn't.. I'm completely aware of how the change view works.. and I had it on before when I was having this problem.. and the problem still persisted. I actually was the one who put in the feature request to have the option to disable or enable the change view option so I'm completely aware of how it functions within gamex.. but this doesn't change the fact gameex doesn't save my view setting.. regardless of whether change view option is displayed or not I appreciate the help thus far though
  15. I've attached the ini GameEx.zip
  16. Where do I find that?
  17. gameex is installed directly in my C: drive.. how would I know if there are rights restrictions? I have updated gameex successfully several times before.. so why would this all of a sudden be the case?
  18. My theme hasn't changed since before or after I made the update.. I haven't messed with the .ini for the theme.. so why would this be theme related?.. when this only started happening immediately after the update
  19. No it is every page that is forced into the new horizontal lists.. even my emulators and games lists.. I can change it back.. but should I exit.. it's back to horizontal lists again
  20. Additionally I should add. Gameex remembers after I've made the changes.. while I'm in Gameex But as soon as I exit.. It's like it resets.. and the default becomes the new view settings that I guess you recently added.. you know the sort of horizontal lists.. I prefer the vertical.. but it always starts up with the horizontal lists.
  21. Ever since updating to version 12.44 gameex doesn't remember my view settings like it used too. This is very frustrating to have to have to change the view settings every time I start.. Especially when I prefer to have the change view settings off so my friends can't acciedentally change it.. but now it's not them who are changing it.. but gameex itself I like the new layout stuff.. but I don't like being forced to start with it everytime.. Any solutions?
  22. Could somebody layout how I could accomplish my goals with Joy2key, I would be much appreciative!
  23. Like I've said though.. I already use the 0 button to exit out of gameex.. the 0 button represents the start button actually.. not the home button.. my universal exit command is the home button, start, and select button all pressed together.. works for everything except bsnes.. in gameex The Advance Config that Alpha suggested doesn't allow this.. the universal exit settings in the set up wizard however.. do allow it
  24. unfortunately one of the key buttons I use in my universal exit for all the other systems is represented by button0. Gameex doesn't seem to account for buttons associated with 0.
