    CD Based Games

The best thing to do is if you have the HDD space is to store them on there.it makes little sense to burn them all to disc,i mean unless you really want to.You can however zip them up which will save some space and GameEX will unzip them when you load a game.plus kega fusion (i assume you will be using fusion for sega cd) loads disc images. Myself personally with cd based systems is I choose just the games i know i will play (especially on sega cd there were so many shitty games not worth the HDD space).Same thing with PS1,PS2,Gamecube,Wii and all cd based systems I have installed
  3. I always have verify roms off,it takes way to long to update the list when verify roms is on
  4. Good im glad it worked out for you.let me know if you need any help with DAPHNE,that one is a little tougher, but not that hard.
  5. this had also been mentioned before, once by myself! I forget the reason it hasnt happened, but I remember it making sense once I heard it
  6. hmm i didnt have to use arcade loader or compatibility mode but as Brian says there is no "right" way of doing this. and yes,you do have to create a separate advanced config process for each game.when you want to setup these games, make sure you have some time to spare as this is a fairly long process also there are some "fixes" out there as some ppl have problems with some games.as much as I would like to post a link I am unable to due to the forum rules but I can say that google is your friend
  7. Awesome thanks Draco!
  8. What version of GameEX are using? Yes there is a "use game filter" setting you will set that to "no" also set i want clones, allow imperfect games set to "yes", only working games set to "no"
  9. How can I change the news scroller in a theme?can i change it to display news from a different site?
  10. Yes skinny match would do the job just fine.a real handy app to have around! I had a problem with parajve and the artwork as well.the roms are strangely named.although you can use a different romset with parajve.thats what I did as parajve doesnt have a complete set
  11. Ok check this out. When im in the setup wiz and i change it back to very high, that is what is changing the reduce cpu back to yes. Although shouldnt it be the other way around?if you choose low or medium shouldnt that change reduce cpu to yes,not no?
  12. Im not sure what the deal is.Im also sure its cosmetic.Just thought I would mention it for reasons mentioned in above post
  13. I hate being the bearer of bad news and I know this isnt really a problem but since it was mentioned in the fixes section I figured I would mention it.That plus some users might not browse the forums and will think this is a bug an keep re-reporting it The setup Wizard does not save your choice when selecting a preference (low, mid, high,v high)it still defaults to medium and it keeps changing the reduce cpu utilization to yes when I set it to no.
  14. it does.there are 2 bars that fill in green as it searches and downloads
  15. You are using the same old version of MAME? You have to use the MAME version that matches your romset since MAME roms are constanly being redumped and changed. also in the setup wizard make sure all the filters are turned off.try those and let us know if it worked
  16. isnt 720 a spinner or trackball game? sad thing is some game controls just cannot be emulated using a normal controller.same thing goes for Ikari Warriors 1-3.they had a rotary joystick and its just impossible to control those games with a 360 controller or arcade stick ....sucks i know! You could play it on on a NES emulator, since its been made for a NES pad It was also ported to Armstrad & ZX spectrum PC's, twice to the Commodore 64 and a game boy color port
  17. hell yea thats what im going to have (eventually)
  18. yea ive noticed with other emulators when stuff is stretched beyond its original aspect it looks fat and squashed but with MAME that doesnt seem to be the case.it looks great on MAME,but not on most other emulators. strange... thanks for the feedback guys
  19. yes i figured that stretched would be the favorite.that what im going with
  20. ha ha i just pmed adultery about 20 minutes ago saying "how did you do that to your gamecard"?LOL Thanks Tom!
  21. So I was wondering what aspect settings most people on here use for MAME.Do you have MAME keep the games original aspect,or do you have MAME stretch the image out to fill your screen? im really undecided on this,on one side I want to keep these games as close to original as possible, but on the other hand I like how games look when they fill the screen... so opinions?
  22. Thanks Circo!
  23. Holy shit! (sorry had to swear) Tom is on a roll! Thank you!
  24. I dont drink at all O BTW thanks Tom! you have been busy and we all appreciate it!!
