Holland computers sells a 19 inch arcade led that I have in one of my cabs. I have been very happy with it. It is 199.

Thanks!. I ran clrmamepro and got it up to 4000. Not sure why I even care

I have over 9000 roms for mame. When I audit the roms with mameuifx64 all but about 500 show as correct. When I do an update in Gameex it shows I have about 3000 mame games. Is that normal? Not that I am complaining about 3000 games but I would have thought the roms that passed with the mameuifx audit would also be available in gameex. I looked in my log and didnt notice any errors. Any suggestions on what to look for?

I currently have 3 registered versions of Gameex installed in 2 stand up and 1 bar top mame arcade. I am running mamuifx64 and have everything running perfectly on one of them. (gameex and mame) Every mame support file is in a folder called emulator\mame. I already know that I can simply copy that entire folder to another machine and it will run fine since mame does not require an install so to speak. All of the videos, images, roms etc...are working right. My question is if all 3 are running the same version of gameex can I copy the config files to each machine and get gameex running the same on all 3?

I am running Mameuifx64 .154 - I also have the Daphne game series and they run great so I think my processor is ok - it is a small ITX board with an AMD CPU. I will probably not worry about it. Thanks for the info.

Hi folks - I recently started messing with CHD rom files. I have a 2-3 hundred of them. They load fine but when I play they are almost unplayable. The audio is garbled. Is this caused by some thing I have set wrong? Not a really big deal because I may just turn off the CHD's if I can't resolve it. Was just curious. Thanks

Thanks! I found out the encoder it comes with is this one.... http://www.u-hid.com/home/overview_board.php sells for $80. Looks like it was built for quality too.....will be getting it up and running this weekend......wish I could find 5 more....

LOL - that was good!

I hear ya! I had to hide it in the garage for a few days. When she finally saw it she said "what is that!?!?!?!" I replied "I have had it for over 6 months now - you haven't seen it before?" She just shook her head and walked away.....

Thought I would share my recent find while looking at craigslist. An ad for a damaged mame machine. Apparently Fedex damaged it and this guy picked it up at an auction. He was asking 400 which was not too high but not low enough for me to take a chance. It had everything but the PC (including monitor and all the controls, encoder etc....) It had some moderate particle board damage on the bottom and part of the front edge. . I wrote him back after a couple of emails and offered 200. He agreed and I picked it. The particle board was not as difficult as I thought it would be to repair. A lot of glue and a good 5 inch plywood backer board to use as a brace and a sturdy place to build the repair back into the sides. One good thing about gloss black - you can blend it easily and hide minor imperfections. The graphics on it were like new. When I picked it up it was 3 sides only but had the bottom and back undamaged. This cab sells for $3500 on their site. Not sure what the guy paid for it but is was sure a great deal for me. I will definately keep an eye out on craigslist from now on....

Just finished my Touchjams jukebox. Was wondering if any of you guys have messed around with touch screens and front ends? It is running Touchjams but I got to thinking it would be neat to include some touch oriented games like the ones found in bars. Does anyone have a source or any other things you have added to one? I went with a 23 inch touch screen monitor from Hanspree running Windows 8 with an SSD drive. It flies and boots up in about 5 seconds running on an intel I3.

I was a longtime Whs user until last month when it started acting up.....ordered a disk station nas ..... I absolutely love it....

Thanks. I see quite a few on Ebay. Is Elo pretty much the standard? How about drivers for Windows. Never messed with a touch screen so I was wondering if there are any gotchas.

how does the steam integration work? I have a ton of steam games. curious as how it integrates with gamex which is at its best with arcade type games.

you've convinced me .... I will start tackling this over the weekend...

Great info. I am going to check out the 2 you recommended tonight. I assume after I trim the fat I simply update the list via Gameex?

Hi all - I am about 75% finished with my second arcade build. A bartop. I have Mame running fine with all the buttons working. It has 6 buttons a joystick and a trackball. On my full cab I added everything I could fine but quickly found out not all of them were playable with my buttons - more seemed to be geared toward using a gamepad. My question is - of the emulators which are more playable with the the button joystick layout I have? Also, do you guys add all the mame games you can find or only include a small list of them. My full size has over 7000 mame games. I am thinking about limiting them to just a few chosen ones....

Hi folks - I am in the process of building a bart top cab running Windows 7 on a smaller AMD ITX MB. I currently have a full size cab running windows XP with mameui32 and gameex. I would love to be able to just copy the folders over to the win 7 machine. Do you think that would be possible? Or should I reload gameex from scratch? Will mameui32 work by just copying it? I will be purchasing another license for the bartop.

Thanks! I just changed to that. Much better!

Well, it looks like my problem involves my startup sequence. I downloaded a free delayer and delayed gameex for about 30 seconds. Seems to have fixed it. Thanks!

Hi all. I have my cab set to autostart Gameex when I power my pc on. All is fine except after it loads my screen is blank - I have to alt tab to bring the gameex to the front. I am also running the coinfx app on startup to make the coin drop sound with a 5 key. Has anyone ran into this? It's not a killer but it would be great to show gameex window without having to alt-tab to it after bootup.

Hi folks - I am a long time Gameex user on a cab and a Hyperpin user for my pincab. About 225 tables. How hard is it to create a working Pinballx setup on the same pincab? I would love to take a look at it but didn't want to spend all the time I spent getting Hyperpin working

That did it! It pops right up now. I love you man!!!

Ok, thanks. Can you tell from the INI why it plays music on startup? I can turn it off with the 0 key but it is annoying. I have went in and turned off everything that looked like it may be the reason.

Here they are. One note when I turn off my wireless the music does not play on startup - with the wireless on it takes a while to boot up and plays an annoying song that I can only silence with the 0 key. Thanks a million for the help. log.txt GameEx.ini
