  1. Quixote Quest, Ive been running it for awhile and it was not that hard to setup and it runs great once you get it "Tweaked" My kids love the Adams family table. You should try it there is a default config file in GameEx and it works good. Like any other emu make sure it works outside of GameEx before you run it through GameEx. Good Luck, ourgrace
  2. orbeyonde Try this, In Advanced Configuration open the emulator configuration for P64 and set the advanced config to "PROJECT 64 V2". Ourgrace
  3. jak33 Have you tried the Setup Wizard? The second to last window is the Verify Setup, did you run that? Ourgrace
  4. Hey Jeff, Do your other mame roms show the right names? If so your roms might be named wrong. (mslug3 = Metal Slug 3) the other thing to look for is in the GameEx\data folder a file named gamelist.txt (about 1.7 mb), check to see if it is ok, if not delete it and reinstall GameEx. ourgrace
  5. Lucian You are probably not retarded, just not well read. Seriously, read the doc page on the gameex web site and it list all the default keys for the different types of controllers. The one you need for exiting the games is "Buttons 4,5,6 with Left-Up". Let me know if that works for you. ourgrace

    Controls.dat

JohnnyG Look in GameEx\DATA and GameEx\PLUGINS folders, there should already be up to date copys of control.dat in these folders. ourgrace
  7. Hi Jontox Try this, from the start menu goto "advanced configuration" and open the "multimedia/HTPC" and on the second page set "radio enabled" to NO. ourgrace
  8. Hey HeadKaze I got my RGB's and second LedWiz hooked up now. WOO HOO!! One thing I wanted to share with you and everyone else who is planing on doing something like this is how I mounted the led boards. I didn't want to make a new control panel (I just built a new one a couple of months ago) and my pause and exit buttons are to close together and to close to the sides of the CP box to mount the led boards the normal way, anyway this is what I did to overcome that. If you look at the picture you can see that all three tabs on the switch have connectors on them the reason for this is if the led drops on the switch it won't arc on the tab. ourgrace
  9. I'm not sure if you could do this with the cab you have, but I helped a buddy convert a cab and one of the things we did was to replace the brackets holding the sides to the front, back, top, bottom and inside panels with 2x2's. what we did was use "gorrila glue" and screws (through the 2x2's from the inside) on the side panels, then attach the panels to the 2x2's with just the screws (no Glue). this made it really easy to move it up two flights of stairs. ourgrace
  10. Hi supergojira In advanced configuration go to "enable/disable features" tab, then set "show start page first" to no, then every time you start GameEx it will start on the last on the last list used. You can also disable most of the other list under the "advanced MAME settings" tab I hope this helps you. ourgrace
  11. HK Very nice looking, I am impressed. I've been rather busy with real life lately and have not had a chance to update my LED's to RGB yet. but I am looking forward to doing it after seeing you web page. (My wife says "THANKS" for the Inspiration, but I don't think she meant it in a nice way. LOL) Anyway, nice job and looks good. ourgrace
  12. JohnnyG I did the "Build it your self thing" and I had a lot of fun with it. Good Luck to you, I hope It turn out as good for you as it did me. As far as the buttons check out this link LED Button And this is links to some of the sites I got info/parts from MAME_Links.zip ourgrace
  13. Pretty cool looking, I put this on my laptop and I think I'll keep it being as how it can hardly XP worth a poop. Thanks 'Kaze
  14. Hey lingpanda, This was fun, But I think the question about the prossesor had the wrong answer, I don't think intel made a P2 800Mhz. but anyway the docs page lists it as a P3 800Mhz. Still a pretty cool flash app. ourgrace
  15. No I didn't spend much time on it, just played around with it mostly. Yes, please let me know if or when you need help with this. ourgrace
  16. Yes set the colorfor each/all the buttons in the config, I stated on this last night, If any one else is interested maybe we can split this up.
  17. How about a setting to chose the button color when you are in a game? ourgrace
  18. The "Plasma Attract Mode" seems to work OK. I can't tell the full efect because of only having red leds under the buttons. ourgrace
  19. I wanted to put this in before I forget (Us "old guys" do that sometimes), After I change my leds over to 3 color would it be possible to have the bottons light up one color for the games and use all the colors for attract and audio modes? Ill test the "Plasma Attract Mode" tonight and let you know. ourgrace
  20. Once again you have done it right the fist time! Both are working Great
  21. Well.... Umm.... Sorry about that. I'm going to talk to a few of the people that have played on my cab in the last few days and see if they have any thoughts on this, The only thing that annoys me is that the buttons stay lit even when there isn't any control data for the game that is highlighted. One idea I had would be a easy way for us "non-software" types to change the attract mode patterns. Bob
  22. Ok 1. Yes, and when it switches it lights up all the buttons. 2. Yes 3. Yes 4. Yes Its the 2 player start button that lights up, because I got them goofed up in the configuration, whoops... Bob
  23. I think they are working the way you want them to. it really looks cool. I got the same error again once. It was on Arlington horse racing, and after I restarted GameEx I tried to run the game again and it worked fine. System.InvalidCastException: QueryInterface for Interface SpeechLib.ISpeechVoice Failed at SpeechLib.SpVoiceClass.Speak(String Text,SpeechVoiceSpeakFlags Flags) at GameEx.Plugin.SpeakButtons(ControlsDat.control) One thing I did notice last night was the on one player only games it lights up the two player button insted of the one player button.
