  1. currently im playing around with TV in gameex and i have had an idea would it be possible to add a section to the menu called tv with options like the emulator options onlanuch after launch on exit etc so people can use there own tv software with a greater control im using wintv and a mce remote im able to use the remote to record tv and playback im thinking this could save (tom) a lot of problems as there is so many difrent tv cards etc and this will allow freeview Sky tv etc on gameex comments welcome

    TV in Gameex

    iam currently trying to setup TV in gameex i have it working ok im using Wintv2000 this is launched from external apps im using the command line WinTV2K.EXE -mTV this will make the tv goto fullscreen on launch The only problem im having is when i close win tv i can still hear the sound from the tv im using line in for the source of tv win Tv it closes wintv and goes back to gameex like it supose to im wondering if there is a command to stop the sound or even an option i have missed in the settings of wintv also if i close Win tv manualy by X in the top corner sound goes off

  4. i recently installed IIS on windows XP and since then, before i start gameex or the config app i have to end task inetinfo.exe inetinfo.exe" belongs to Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and is used for debugging gameex shows up in task manager but it cant be seen on the desktop
  5. i have 2 hard drives with tv shows on and they are listed on gameex as TV1 and TV2, i was wondering if its possible to have the contents of the two drives shown in one list in gameex ratehr than two? other info they are both maped network drives i have told gameex to look in a directory i could tell gameex to use the drive as there is no other data on the drives

  7. if they dont play in wmp the avi's may be corrupt , get g-spot and open a avi this will tell you what codec you need avi http://www.headbands.com/gspot/download.html < link for the download G-spot i recommend SLD codec pack i use this and have no problems playing any video file i have ever needed to http://www.free-codecs.com/SLD_Codec_Pack_download.htm < link for download of SLD codecs before you install any codecs make sure you uninstall all other codec packs and reboot before you install new ones
  8. sorry about the link, your probly right, but if your thinking of including streaming tv your probly looking at simaler sites or bbc news, eurosport and a few other tv stations but the quality is pritty poor a lot use realmedia *.rm files, other sources include winamp/shoutcast tv these tend to be just a playlist on someones pc there all free they just have a small 30 second or so advert before you watch for anything half decent you would not get for free hope this is some use if you want to know anything il try and help

    have you checked "D:\Mame32\mame_vid" for a movie file??? would only take 30 secs or so to make the video, if not im not sure sorry

    it will create the snaps to the video Snap Path set in gameex Config mame Basic Settings there a couple mb each the file type is *.mng, they are record of usualy a demo of the game some are blank screen's depends on the rom file some just sit there with inert coin, for a full set will be easyly over 20gb and will take a long time, probly faster to download if you can find a source for them more info when you run the command, on a do you want to continue Messgae box

    hmm your right ,its on the start menu under gameex or run "C:\Program Files\GameEx\GameEx.exe" -createvideos from run on the start menu this will make mame videos for all the roms in if you wanted say half or a selected few to record copy the rom's you want into another DIR and set it as your mame rom dir while you recored then set it back after hope that helps duno what i was thinking last post lol

    on gameex config under Enable/ Disable Features you should see "hide Create Snaps" change that to No this should show create snaps on the left hand side if you already have snaps i should continue where it left last

  14. need for speed most wanted works with my xbox pads with usb converters force feed back the lot if your into that sorta game although it could be down to the drivers
  15. i think XP lite is gone Microsoft are sueing i think could be wrong though
  16. win 2000 is more a workstation OS for office's etc, stick with XP just have the mimimal amount of stuff running as you can, programs and services

  19. you can copy the whole gameex Directory to another pc, but make sure you install gameex onto the second pc then replace the gameex directory with the one from the first pc,
  20. on emulator config turn off debug mode
  21. you could try .net 2.0 might fix it, also have you got all latest motherboard chipset drivers etc. i know it sounds obvious but it fixed a problem i had hope it helps
  22. just an idea get a keyboard with a shut down button on it or a logitech keyboard that you can bind keys on you could use a shutdown command line

  24. just got my 19" widescreen tft, gota say im happy with it mame looks fine has Gameex & mame pictures on left and right side's and right so no stretching other emulators are a bit stretched but still look good and a hell of a lot clearer than tv screen next job make my own skin, anyone got any cool images for the menus or know were i could fine some google image search isnt comming up with much
