    [RESOLVED] ParaJVE

More like why one is needed. I created an Advance Config, process wait for javaw.exe and I still get the same thing I told you in chat. Loading 3.5 disk screen then black. I can hear, now with the advance config, the ingame music. Like I'm saying, I'm getting close.
  2. Since I've updated my MAME cab pc, I am switching from MESS to emulate Vectrex to ParaJVE. Works great, looks great but GameEx is stealing focus when launched inside GameEx. I've stared at fRequEnCy's emulator submissions and am stuck. "An Advanced Config is required to watch the javaw.exe Process so GameEx won't steal focus" Uh, how is this? Maybe its a Monday detail I'm missing. I'm using ParaJVE 0.7.0 so using the loader isn't required. I don't know.
  3. Right. The *.lnk is just the rom filter. Guess I forgot to say that...
  4. I make shortcuts to my games and put them into a folder called Roms. Then in the advanced config, I show GameEx where that folder is and use *.lnk as the file type. Just like fRequEnCy said, use ""[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"" as command line.
  5. I was toadily, NOT serious with that! Hahahahaha! Got a whole bunch of you guys with that crapcicle. Lenovo kicks so much @ss Draco and you know it.
  6. I like the idea but, that thing is horrendous! I personally have my eye on this one. It's handheld, has a trackball and looks super easy to use.
  7. Alright I've been messing around some more. I've got the Wiimotes working just fine. I've figured out that if I connect them in Dolphin before opening GameEx, then they work without any issues. I'm just not able to do the following - open the Nintendo Wii emulator in GameEx (with the Wiimotes OFF), and try to turn them on after selecting a game. Not really a big deal, just a small extra step to take before starting GameEx. GlovePie works, I just haven't seemed to figure out how to set it up via the emulator. Probably have to have it launch before or something. Not sure. I'm still tackling this thing and once I figure out a good way to have this dialed in I'll share.
  8. Alright I'll give GlovePie a shot. They work with Dolphin I just can't get it the contollers to load with the emulator when I select a rom.
  9. I've been tinking around with Dolphin and put a few Wii games and Wii Ware .wads on it they work great. Since all works well I decided to try and use the Wiimotes instead of my cab buttons, just for giggles. Using bluetooth, they connect fine and play great, just like my Wii. However, I can't see to figure out how to be able to use them while inside GameEx. When I play outside of GameEx, I have to turn on the Wiimote, then start the Dolphin.exe, then click the Wiimote icon, hit the refresh button and THEN Dolphin sees the remote. After that I can select a game and play. The only way all this works in GameEx is if I do the above steps prior to starting GameEx. Anybody have a solution or advise to this?
  10. Not sure if this has been hit before but how about an option in the Daphne Advanced Configuration for a database. I'd like to have the game info displayed for these games as well.
  11. Hey IMBerzerk, have you made or started a Daphne/laserdisc database? I can't seem to even find a database option for one in the Daphne Advanced Configuration anyway. Might have to be a Feature Request....
  12. I second the Droid port. Looks great congratulations on the release!
  13. Wind and Water Puzzle Battles is by far, one of my favorite puzzle games and one of my favorite Dreamcast homebrew games. Originally a GP2X game (which I've never owned) then ported to DC, and now PC and Linux. I've tested it on my cab, it's pretty cab friendly with some key mapping, usb controller or with a mouse. Wind and Water Puzzle Battle
  14. Yes Please! Don't forget us Droid OS users Tom! This is an outstanding release!

    Emulation poll

The last tangible game I bought was Puzzle Quest 2 for NDS. The game is cool, with both aspects of gaming I like, puzzles and RPG. On the same note, I was emulating it and playing a copy for PC before I actually purchased it. If that says anything. I have a few systems modded (DC, Original XBox, a 360, PS2 and Wii and a PSP and NDSi) with pretty much the same thing on them as my cab. I emulate SNES, NES, ScummVM and so on, on all those systems but my cab and GameEx brings it all together and makes it fancy with artwork and video snaps and whatever. Plus I can't emulate a Dreamcast on a PSP. Yet....
  16. Most excellent! Glad you got it all sorted. Make this a [RESOLVED] thread then.
  17. Here is my xarcade.cfg see if that works for you. Just make sure you show it in the Controllers tab as the one you want to work. Just unzip and put in the ctrlr folder in MAME. XArcade.rar
  18. Ok so it a MAME control issue then now. Which version of MAME are you using?
  19. Cool! I'm heading over to grad a copy and try it out.
  20. You do not need to have a keyboard plugged in at all times. This may also be a reason your having trouble. The only time you need a keyboard plugged into the X-Arcade is when you are using it to program one of the unassigned slots (the switch that is supposed to be all the way to the right) and that's it. The different slots on that switch are for programing your own settings.
  21. I am a huge Zelda fan. What's the name of the game your talking about? My favorite Zelda hack is hands down, The Legend of Zelda: Parallel Worlds for SNES. Holy crap, that game is tough but fun and keeps the same LOZ feel and game play.

    sega naomi

Make sure you put DC.zip in with your roms folder. It kicked my butt for a while until I physically put, the DC.zip file into the configured rom folder. After that, just point Demul to the rest of the required items.
  23. Hey banksa60. I've got 2 questions to help troubleshoot your X-Arcade. First, is the programing switch that's on the back all the way to the right? That's if your looking down on the back panel. Second, is Number Lock enabled? Most all the buttons on player 1 side is from NumKeys. Check those settings out.
  24. You know what, I really wish I bought the tanker from the get go. Oh well.
  25. I too also have an X-Arcade dual. With a fresh insatll of GameEx, they buttons are premapped for X-Arcade. For general GameEx navigation, inside GameEx menus, you can change what buttons do what (I.e. select, back and volume) with the GameEx Setup Wizard in Advanced mode. I found that I like the Player 2 start button to be a better back button. This is just my couple of cents.
