    Shh!

LOUD NOISES! I've been busy monkeying around! Was in London last week & saw a cab in Selfridges, had a mess around with it and guess what system it was running...well you know
  4. This layout is crazy! I love it. Keep up the good work vsilvalopes!
  5. Hi guys, I'm tempted to get the new Apple Magic Mouse to see if it will work with GameEx. The only thing is i'm not sure if its worth the £10,000.24 investment from amazon: link Has anyone got it to work, or found a cheaper price elsewhere I getting a bit worried, becuase there is only one more in stock at that price!
  6. Thanks for the comments guys. I just did a quick test using VMware...GameEx does load, but there are issues with screen flicker in fullscreen mode, window mode seemed okay. Either the windows emulation software or maybe my hardware struggled. I think i'll stick to the PC
  7. I figured it might be a bit much, i think i'll keep using it on the PC. Thanks Tom
  8. Hi everyone, Has anyone using GameEx on an apple computer? Just wondering whether it can be done using windows emulation software like VMWare, or Parallels?
  9. It looks a lot cleaner now that the colours are closer to pure black. Nice one Kicker.
  10. Hi Kicker, It's funny people think it looks like wmp, that's what it was based it on If there was one thing i regretted about the blueglass theme, it was that i was going to update all the icons to have a wet floor effect. I though it looked good, but got a bit sidetracked with work. You've done a quality job, im quite partial to black theme's too. I you wanted to have a go with the reflections, you can use this file: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9P0SBP8E there's some logos premade, plus a photoshop file. Amos

    hi def themes

At the moment there aren't any themes at this resolution, but with a little work you should be able to modify your current theme to suit. Add or edit the 'theme.ini' to include the following: [General] AniBak=true XRESOLUTION=1920 YRESOLUTION=1080 There are plenty of 1920*1080 wallpapers out there to choose from: http://www.wpdb.de/index.php?mainbereich=g...ution=1920x1080 http://www.gue7.com/2009/03/16/space-art-h...s-1920x1080-hq/ http://browse.deviantart.com/customization...per/widescreen/ I know is sounds like a pain to alter a theme, but its pretty easy, just pick one where the icons/toolbars/selection bar matches the wallpaper. Replace all previous wallpapers with your chosen image.
  12. I really like the controller icons, good stuff Emph!
  13. You can try the following: Try disabling the gradient on the page title, to do this add the following under the [General] section of the 'Theme.ini' [General] GradientTitleFont=False If that doesn't work, check your background image, if the background is 100% black in places, lighten it by a couple of percent (as tempest suggests). Any good?

    shortcut maker

You could try this free one: http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk I havent used it before, but i would try the remove words feature. Another forum member may be able to suggest some better software.

    shortcut maker

I dont know of any software like that, but you can try this method: (Its a bit basic though!) How about just doing a search for .exe files within the game folders, right click the results and drag then select 'create shortcuts' in your new folder. Then use a renaming bit of software to delete the 'exe' and 'shortcut' from the filenames.

    Album art!

It can be useful to show hidden files in explorer when looking inside your music folders, as you can see which album covers WMP associates with the MP3's. Generally if the right cover shows in WMP, GameEx shoud be sorted too (even if you have all your music in one folder).
  19. Happy Christmas everyone! I think im going to spend christmas hogging my Mum's new Wii!
  20. Thanks for the update Tom!
  21. I agree, GameEx is it own entity, definately something to be proud of Tom!

    My New Website

Im struggling to find anything of use for you: I can only find the photoshop file, so the images contained within are quite small, they would'nt be any use for large graphics. I remember having to cut out all the images, however you may be lucky enough to find a vector file.

    My New Website

HI everyone, This is pretty off topic, but i've just remade my website. http://alan.gameex.net/ It's mainly just for fun, but may come in useful along the line You can see my portfolio of design work, including some of the themes i've made for GameEx. comments, and compatability problems welcome. amos Tom: Thanks for your support!
  24. Your log says that you are using the killer instinct theme... If so, delete the following line from the killer instinct 'theme.ini' file: StartupVideo=C:\Program Files\GameEx\THEMES\Default - Killer Instinct Did this fix it?
  25. Yep, that happens, i think it had something to do with the space required for the menu buttons (the ones on the left of the game list).
