  1. All i have to say is thank you. I have used epsxe since I stsrted with gameex and could never find a good way to use it without an image file. Thanks and thanks again.
  2. The chanka config is here under the sticky at the top of the page http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=3&st=20 I use the latest version of chanka with the setup

    epsxe problem

double check this: WorkingPath=D:\games\epsxe\epsxe it says your path doesnt exist
  4. Ok, let me try two of these: Open KEGA outside of gameex and check under the options. Uncheck anything you do not want displayed. I believe you are talking about the time when you select a game in gameex and the game loading --->seeing the desktop. I don't think there is much you can do other than go to the display properties, select none for the background, black for the color and remove any desktop icons. That way when it shows the desktop you wouldn't see the transition. Or, hell make a big sign on your desktop that says GAMEEX IS NOW LOADING YOUR GAME to try and tie the whole thing together....just a thought. As for the joysticks, I use a usb to ps2 converter and have to use joy2key...I don't know about your joystick but if visual pinball won't read the inputs you might have to look at that for an option...unless somebody knows any different?
  5. I just checked out the nebula emu and the version I had needed ctrl enter for fullscreen mode. that would be this WaitBeforeKeys=5000 SendKeys=^~ or: WaitBeforeKeys=5000 SendKeys=^{ENTER} if this is not the case with your version (mine was version 2.24) increase the wait time to 15000 to give nebula time to load and then decrease it from there.
  6. I would try %{SPACE}. try looking here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default....sclasstopic.asp
  7. Try this: WaitBeforeKeys=4000 SendKeys=%~ I believe you would have been ok with "%{ENTER}" also.
  8. I just saw that and am probably going to implement this weekend. Thanks for all your help. I haven't looked at anything other than the message (I haven't checked the simkey program yet) but I will post back on how this worked for my set ups (Mame advancemane and Daphne) The Ratmonkey
  9. Agreeing with Rob, You might want to get Daemon tools or some other program to mount the image before you burn. If are having problems you might have a bad image file. Mounting and running it first is an easy way to pinpoint where your problem is at.
  10. Tom, I don't know if it's just me and Danny but I have also had some problems with the run before and run after settings. On some emulators they work and on some they don't. I mentioned it here with the run after: http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=360&hl= and here with the run before (I used the run also instead): http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=272&hl=
  11. Using the Digital Leisure Dragon's Lair DVDROM creates almost 200 mpeg files. The framerate text is what daphne reads to put them all together. If someone has this set I should be able to use thier file.
  12. I have to converted files and no longer have the DVD or the text file. Can anyone help?
  13. Try using this http://home.comcast.net/~cpviewer/download...necdwrapper.zip . Make sure to edit the config file for your paths and it should work. Do not use the launch before or after though use: Command=MagicEngineCDWrapper.exe "[rompath]\[romfile]"
  14. I have a copy of the DVD set of the Digital Leisure Dragon's Lair DVDROM. This has already been converted to Mpeg using the DVD2DAPHNE utility. The problem is I do not have the framefile. Does anyone have the file? It should start: 150 dl-slates.m2v 323 dls00.vob.m2v and have a bunch of entries after that. Thanks to all who can help. Ratmonkey

    EMU 25

I am setting up Pinball as my 25 emu. I have everything set up and working my only problem is the launch before and after settings don't seem to work. I am trying to set up joy2key to turn on and off when launching. I can get it to launch as an alsolauch but I am trying to keep that open in case I need vpauto.exe. It seems like these functions should work (since they were higher on the list) but I cant get them to load. Enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=Pinball TITLETEXT=Pinball StartPageLogo=Pinball ROMFilter=*.vpt RomsInFolders=False RomPath=D:\GameEx\Visual Pinball\Tables SnapPath=D:\GameEx\Visual Pinball\artwork WorkingPath=D:\GameEx\Visual Pinball MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys=10000 SendKeys= ReplaceDash=True ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=True RemoveBrackets=False ShowDesktop=True Debug=False MAPFile= AlsoLaunch= Command=VPinball-XPFix5.exe -play -"D:\GameEx\Visual Pinball\Tables\[RomFile]" OLDatZip= TitlePath= BoxPath= LaunchBefore=D:\GameEx\Visual Pinball\JoyToKey.exe LaunchAfter=D:\GameEx\Visual Pinball\joy.brs CartPath= [Favorites] ReplaceDash=True ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=True RemoveBrackets=True (the brs file terminates the joy2key.exe)
  16. I was having the same problems try this Command=VPinball-XPFix4.exe -play -"C:\what ever your path to your roms is here\[ROMFILE]" i am using the VPinball-XPFix5.exe. get it here www.vpforums.com in the downloads.
  17. Username, I see the difference now. (mine = http://www.hauppauge.com/images/pvr-150_w_remote_small.jpg ). When using MCE, once you edit the irremote.ini to respond to MCE it will work in gameex. The only diffrence is the volume controls are mapped different. Using your setup (modified to my type of remote) I now have volume control per the remote. Thanks for your help. Sorry for the confusion.
  18. Username, Have you been able to set up the remote to exit daphne, mame, or advance mame? I have the same remote and I have got it to control gameex, but when ever I use the emus I have to use the keyboard to exit. The little bit I have read on these forums I believe on other emu gameex sends a kill command but on these the emu must get the escape keystroke. I know there is a way to edit the irremote.ini to controls these two but I am having no luck in figuring it out. Thanks BTW, I was wondering why you mapped the volume controls (alt down/up) to the blue and yellow buttons instead of the volume buttons? You also have the chan buttons do the same job as the arrow keys. I would use this: CHNLUP={pgup} CHNLDOWN={pgdn} VOLUP={alt} {up} VOLDOWN={alt} {down} That way your volume buttons control the volume and your channel buttons go to the bottom of the page like in mce. I have the 150 with the silver remote and maybe there is a button difference between the two? Also if you add: REWIND={ctrl} {left} FASTFWD={ctrl} {right} SKIPFWD={ctrl} {right} SKIPREV={ctrl} {left} you can use the alpha paging with the ffwd and rewind buttons EDIT: after posting this I see that the remote for the 150 and 250 are different and I assumed you were using mce (duh, I guess I should have read a little closer) so disregard this post if nothing I posted applies to you. Although your help with mame and daphne stuff would be appreciated.
  19. Anthony, If you still having the zinc problem check here http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=146&hl= about half way down. You either need to alter the renderer.cfg file or you might be using the opengl renderer. I just had this same problem two weeks ago.
  20. I love the video display backgrounds (daphnebak.mpg, bak.mpg, emubak.mpg) when displaying games. What about the ability the to have different backgrounds for different emus, a 2600bak.mpg for 2600 games example? As a default gameex would play the video file first if it was there and if the video file was named the same as the logo name but with the bak added, it would play these as backgrounds during the game selection. Not so much that you would have to include these files in the download but that the user could configure these themselves. I am not a programmer so I don't know how hard this would be....but you did say bring it on
  21. Yes, everything works in MCE but, I agree it is probably something on my end. Like I said I am using the hauppauge remote not the microsoft one so this involves editing the irremote.ini to begin with. I will have to do something along that line I supposed. I was mainly looking for people in the same boat.... but I guess I got the ocean all to myself Thanks for your help.
  22. Both of those settings are off. Its wierd because all other functionality is the same (except volume control from the remote, up until recently I didn't think it was implemented). I can exit all the other emus, scroll, choose, etc....I just can't exit Daphne and Mame. I have just installed Daphne, so I dont know about that but, up until recently I could exit mame with the remote. It was after one of the updates that it stopped (I dont know which one because there have been quite a few the past couple weeks or so). Any other ideas?
  23. I don't use any command line options other than (freedowrapper.exe "[rompath]\[romfile]") without the (). freedowrapper is here http://home.comcast....pviewer/3do.htm get the commandline wrapper (for loading 3do images, but you must have daemon tools installed). You must edit the config file that comes with it for you paths but it is pretty self explainatory. The Ratmonkey
  24. I have gameEx set up on my MCE machine. Recently I have had problems exiting Mame and Daphne. Is used to be I could use the remote to exit (a hauppauge remote the mapped key corresponds to escape), now I have to use the keyboard. I use Mame32 w/ advancemame and Daphne 0.99.6c. These are the smae programs and settings I used since I installed GameEx. I don't know if one of the GameEx settings got changed or I changed it during one of the upgrades. Any help is of course appreciated. The Ratmonkey
  25. Along with what Jeff said, delete and disable all the users except the main one you are using (control panel-user accounts) you should boot straight into the main account.
