just tested that method out using search and you get a few menus and still cannot find it lol ... Another way is to goto you Gameex system like i showed above by right click on the gameex in the programs folder then left click on properties (The reason for this method is i do not know what OS you are using and i do not now where you installed gameex hence its best foe me to show you this way to cover all aspects and diffrent Os's). Then goto CONFIG folder Open up by double clicking GameEx.ini The in notepad (this will auto open) click on the top menu and click on find. Paste this into the find box "# Specify a Video to play at Startup. AVI, MPG:" with out "" Then click on find. You will now see undernith "StartupVideo=C:\Users\admin\Backup\Other\Movies" Change that to were you move is such as "StartupVideo=d:\movies\what ever.avi" Then click on top menu and save. This will give you the start up video on what ever Theme you are using. If you like it done in easy pics just ask. There are even more ways such as random video and other things like that but i think once you grab the basic idear of how to change things its a good start, Dont run before you can walk. Gamex EX may look a little daunting when you first start but over a small ammount of time youll learn how it all works.

yeh i had the same problem last night. how ever i use Mame Plus wich is a much better port of mame and allows for none working games to be played. Between the last 3 versions i have had problems but now on U2 its fuilly working as such all though my Ld's show up as un converted. (that realy annoys me) . What we all have to rember though is one main thing. Mame playabilty is a Side effect of mame. Mame hasnt been built to be able to play the games but as a way of Calatlogueing and storing these peaces of history. Were lucky enough to be able to play these catalouge games and we souldtn realy complain when they do not work. Like i say its a side effect. Im shure how ever they will sort the problem due to the ammount of deadacated ppl working on such a large project. Its a shame some majour companys didnt follow there code of practice.

there is way to many versions of mame. they need to slow down and not release as many versions. ... Insted of small updates they should do big updates. Any games not working remove from the list ect ect ...

Oky here we go how to replace your movie with the old movie so that you can have a custome into to gameex ... 1) goto start menu , then program files, then gameex and then "RIGHT CLICK" on Gameex Icon 2) Then move down to properties and "left click" on that 3) A new window open with gameex info of were it is installed. Im doing it this way as people install game ex in diffrent places and im running windows Vista 64 so i run it a little diffrently but doing it this way shows how every one can access it and find it easly. any left click on "Open File Location" 4) a new window open up were gameex is installed. Left click on "themes" and open it up 5) Then left click on "Defult Alpha Blue"" (this is the theme we choie to use) 6) The left click on intro Movie 7) Now you can See the *.WMV Movie called "Gameex Initalisation.WMV" or "Gameex Initalisation". You need to rename this to some thing like "Backup" 8) Once you have done that then move your New movie into that folder .... 9) Now rename that movie to "Gameex Initalisation.WMV" or "Gameex Initalisation" That is it . when you start up gameex you now you have a new intro movie .... Have fun .....
-
The first you need to do is find the video you are going to replace with you new video. Please change the video to a WMV file. You can do this trough the windows movie maker that is on windows xp and windows vista or any other program you can get you hands off the net. Im not going to teach you how to do this. it is upto you to do. What we are going to do is move this new video over to the gameex Theme folder and then replace the Vido that is there so that it plays your video insted on the one it normaly plays. Again ill do it step by step ...
-
First we need to know what Theme you are using so this is a easy way to find out .... 1) First goto start menu and click on prgrams then gameex and then "Set Up Wizard" 2) Then click on next in the new window 3) Then Select Custome 4) Then select theme section (try to use the same theme i am for now this makes life easy) 5) The chouse your theme (try to use the same theme i am for now this makes life easy) 6) then click next 7) then click exit Now at this point we are using Default alpha Blue as our theme and by default this this has a Video start up and ill now show you how to change this video so you can have your own ....

oky step by step Guide for you .... 1) left click on start menu 2) Go to Programs then Gameex 3) left click on Advanced Configuration 4) Then left Click on Enable / disable features on the config screen 5) Then click on next Page 6) Then left click on next page again 7) Then Make sure Skip game intro is set to "NO" then click on save at the bottem Oky now close down that menu ...

Considering what it is i would say its worth the asking price But i dont think the genral public will pay that price. My sons last Ipod cost £230 but thats a bradned item. this is not and well people wont understand fully and wont be willing to pay the price at this moemnt in time. To many people on ebay after a so called "bargin" if you ask me ....

it makes me feel old when my 12 years old kid turns round and says "when was that out dad" and i turn round and tell him how certain games were real good and then he says"Yeh but how old dad" and i refuse to answer him ......

Its not a problem of I think its illagl the post was more to point out that hes be super daft adding that line in his sale. You need to be carfull selling stuff on ebay now a days as they come down hard on people. What we consider fair game and what they consider fair game is two totaly diffrent things. Ive sold all storts of stuff on ebay but ive allways checked my wording and never given the game away. p.s its a nice bit of work.

Nice hes selling illgal songs on ebay that he has no right's to ......... some people sure fire way to having his home radied and he ass kicked from here to prison .. what a wally.

Ive been playijng. Oky Big problem when Gameex is running any thing on the touch screen will not work. As far as it is concerned basicly Gameex takes over and locks the mouse on the game ex screen. So you can see what is going on with the second screen but you cannot play with it. So while gameEX is running the second screen can only be used to show info and the like. How ever useing macros i can get all most any thing to show in the back ground on the second screen. Allso some stuff will only start up on the main screen and useing macros you can use them to move the program across to the second screen and then goto to full screen on the second screen. There is lots of options there. Im tyring to look for a jukebox that will allow to show visual effects on a seprate box that can be moved about. this will allow me to move the visual effects to the main screen and keep the Juke box on the second screen to press and play the music from. you can see some macros being used here to move sceens about on game ex e.g the juke box.

Im uploading a Vid wich you can view. I managing though some macros ive made to get other things to work but there is still alot of work to do. Working with vistas 64 is just a complete nightmare but at least if it works in this it will work in MS OS 7 ... here you go....

yeh its some thing im working on my self my new unit arriveds tommorw. But im waiting till its arrived. Personly though after my exp with ebay i wouldnt bother with them esp if some thing goes wrong your warrnety means naf all and you have no leg to stand on. So i have orderd this from http://www.carcomputer.co.uk/ Lilliput EBY701-NP/C/T Now for the specs Specifications: MODEL:EBY701-NP/C/T COLOR SYSTEM:PAL-4.43 / NTSC-3.58 DISPLAY SCREEN: Diagonal 7 inches / 178mm (15:9) DOTS PIXELS:1152000 pixels(800*480) AUDIO OUTPUT: ≥100mW CONTRAST RATIO:200:1 BRIGHTNESS: 400cd/m2 VIEWING ANGLE: 45/60(U/D),65/65(L/R) INPUT VOLTAGE: DC 11-13V POWER CONSUMPATION: ≤10W DIMENSION (mm): 192Ã?115Ã?30 Its a 4 wire USB rententive touch screen. 12 Volts power and allso VGA. It can do highter then 800*600 but then it would look small and is pointless. Now after much research i found that the 800*480 is just the moniters Res. Ill be running it at 800*600 giving me full scope to run it with GameEX. Ive allso been testing out a 4" PS1 Screen and it works fine with the software allso though the screen is a little flack to be honist.

It acts the same as windows and block rom's from being scanned ect ect . you need to disable it to run most stuff. Just tested it out today on my new build. Basicly works but when scanning for new roms does not work. UAC kicks in and stops it. I installed to a spare drive h:\ to test with normal game ex. then just over written the settings with my own custome ones. The only problem i had was no abilty to reg it. but thats not a problem as of yet. I cannot test it again as i removed windows 7 now and put windows vista 64 bit on insted as most of my drivers dont ork correctly and my LCD was a no show on it.
