  1. I copied and pasted "-joy -skip_gameinfo -video d3d -noswitchres -triplebuffer" into the area you described. And then I downloaded and installed DirectX I dowloaded and installed C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64) version 14.0.23026 I don't know where to find the CHD I downloaded the latest version of MAMEUI. You said to put the ROM in the root folder but I don't see a ROM folder already there should I make one? How will that show up in the game list for MAMEUI (not GameEx). Thank you!
  2. I entered the zip ROM file names into the Exclude from Filter list like you did with Pacman;splatter and the rest and the game finally shows up in the All Games list. But this means I would need to enter each game I have into this Exclude from Filter list which would be a pain if I had a long list of ROMs. Also, just like in the none integrated MAME the ROM blacks out in the integrated MAME in GameEx. The problem is still there. I don't know what DirectX runtimes are. I will try to update them the way you described. I don't know what C++ dependencies are or any of that stuff... I'll try and google it I don't know what a CHD is. I'll try and google it I don't know how to check if my ROM is split or merged. I'll google it I'll look and see what -video d3d is. Also, I am running GameEx Lite (simple mode) would that make any difference? Thank you so much for your help
  3. I downloaded Mewui64-MAME-1.61 and used it in GameEx but it does the same thing it just blacks out after it seems to load the ROM to 100%. Also, I can't verify if it works outside GameEx because I don't know how to open the ROM using the MAME interface. Where is the Open Files option? or Load ROM option?
  4. - I can't verify it's working because I don't know how to open ROMs inside the MAME i'm using. Where is the open files option? - I set Only Existing Roms = "yes" but when I click on the All Games category in the integrated MAME inside GameEx I still see hundreds of games but not the ROM I chose - I updated the list but my ROM still doesn't show up and all the unwanted games are still in the way. Ok I updated again and now the list is reduced to only Pacman and some other game (I don't recall the name) this is very good thank you, but I still don't see the ROM I chose in the list.
  5. I set the ROM path in the Emulator Setup section to the folder you recommended and the same thing happens when I run GameEx and then try to run the ROM using a none integrated MAME. It seems to load to 100% but then it blacks out.
  6. Two issues one I tried using the integrated MAME and the ROM doesn't show up in the list inside GameEx, and two I tried using a none integrated MAME with GameEx and the game seems to load but then blacks out. I tried opening the none integrated MAME 0.174 and running the ROM outside of GameEx, but I couldn't figure out how to open the ROM, there is no open file option.
  7. Thank you so much for your help. I got the GameCube emulator to run the ISO file using the command line you gave me. But I have another problem. When I run MAME (not the integrated one) and try to run primerage it trys to load the ROM but then it just blacks out. I am attaching the log file and ini file after attempting to do this. What am I doing wrong?
  8. Thank you for your help here are the files you need. Also what would be the benefit of using a virtual drive?
  9. Hello, I have an emulator that I'm using and the ROM files are actually ISO files. I tried using several different command lines but none of them worked. I know that i'm supposed to use one of these Command=WINDVD.exe [VIRTUALDRIVE]:\ or Command=unz.exe[-VIRTUALDRIVE-] but i'm not sure which one so I tried both. Here is an example of what tried Dolphin.exe [VIRTUALDRIVE]:\ and then I tried Dolphin.exe[-VIRTUALDRIVE-] When I use the emulator outside of GameEx it works. So what am I doing wrong?
  10. Hello, I can't find the Custom Menu Program for GameEx, I can only find a Custom Menu.ini file. Am I supposed to just edit that file? Also I did find the Advanced configuration area but it had nothing to do with Enabling/Disabling features in regards to Game Menus. I just want to be able to create my own game menu and get rid of the default menus. I was able to create a category for of my own using the method described here www gameex.info/forums/topic/14830-guide-creating-and-using-custom-mame-lists/ but the games names I put in the menu don't show up. What do I do?
  11. OK so Problem #2 is solved. But I still need help with Problem #3 and Problem #1 For Problem#3 I disabled the integrated MAME and am using the [Arcade] Arcade MAME. Can someone please help me?
  12. Ok I figured it out. I was putting the emulator in the GameEx default Emulators folder in the c drive. The Emulator I'm using needed to be in the program files folder for some reason, because that is the folder it goes to once it is installed on the computer. This for some weird reason allowed the Project64 1.6 emulator to enter full screen mode once GameEx opened it and then ran the ROM.
  13. I found an option within the emulator under settings that says "On loading ROM go to full screen" it almost works but there is some kind of glitch that keeps the screen small. The mouse disappears so I can tell that it is in full screen mode, but the screen is small. Also when I open the emulator outside of GameEx it does go to full screen What could be wrong?
  14. Were you able to receive the log and .ini file?
  15. -Thank you! I used the Command Line Project64.exe [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE] and now it works. The only problem is that it doesn't open in full screen. How do I do that? -Sorry that I posted the image of my Project64 Emulator setup with it showing No. It is actually set to Yes now. -I will now upload the gameex.ini and log.txt files again, once I read your How to ask for help instructions in order to find out what a spoiler tag (eye) means.
  16. I attached a screen pic of the new Command Line I used to try and open the ROM up, but it didn't work. What could I be doing wrong?
  17. I went to this webpage and found some information on how to use the Command Line http://www.gameex.com/setup-wizard-configuration-guide/#mamesettings. I attached a screen pic of some examples I found on what format to use for the Command Line. If you look at the example for Project64 it looks as though this Command Line is only for one ROM at a time. What do I type so that all of my ROMs show up in the game list?
  18. As shown in the picture above in the quote is my command line correct for the use of this emulator to open ROMs? If not what command line do I use? I was able to create a batch program that opens the emulator and then tells the emulator to open the ROM but I'm still not sure what to put as the command line.
  19. For Problem #3 I removed the filter for Japan, and then updated the list, and then scrolled through the list, but still didn't find the ROM. This is only the case for the integrated MAME, but when I use the [Arcade] Arcade MAME emulator the ROM shows up, but the game doesn't work when I run it. I attached screen pics of the settings I put for the Advanced MAME section in the Setup Wizard.
  20. For Problem #3 - I updated the game list and the ROM still doesn't show up. I looked through the whole game list and still didn't find it.
  21. For Problem #3 -I don't think it is a japan release. How can I check? -What is a 0.145 directory? -I will try and update the game list and then search again. But can you take a look at Dazzle's custom lists guide and answer my posts there? or should i just post them here? I really need to get rid of all the other games in the MAME game list so that I can find the ROM I choose much more easily.
  22. For Problem #3 I removed MAME in the Emulator Section, but now the game doesn't show up in the game list. Plus I have to look through all the other games that comes with the Integrated MAME this brings me back to Problem #1
  23. For Problem #2 LOL that helped a little bit thanks! Now i can see the emulator in the Emulated Games menu inside GameEx and I can also see the ROM that I put in the Roms folder. But when I try to run the ROM it fails to work. I am able to run the ROM in the emulator outside GameEx though so i'm not sure what is wrong.
  24. For problem #1 I am going to post my questions in Dazzle's custom lists guide For problem #2 I attached a screen pic showing what I entered in the Emulator Setup section of the Setup Wizard to this post. I entered the shown information but the emulator doesn't show up after I run GameEx and look in the emulated games area. Can someone please explain how to fix this? For problem #3 I attached a copy of my GameEx.ini file and my log file GameEx.ini log.txt
