Hello, I think this is a gameEx problem i'm having. When I play a rom GameEx seems to create a .save file for that rom. This causes a problem because when I go to the game list for the gameboyadvanced emulator it shows that there are two copies of the same rom. One copy is the .zip file and the other is the .save file. How do I get GameEx to only show me one copy of the rom on the game list? GameEx.ini log.txt

Ok so I am using MAME version MAMEUI64_0.139_29-07-2010 to run the rom. I got past the loading screen but then it says the rom's system is starting up, but then it never finishes starting up. I attached a pic of it as well as my log and ini files. Maybe it has something to do with the rom's BIOS i'm using? i'll check others I don't know if you guys can help me on this or not but I just thought I'd show you. Thank you for all the help you have given me so far on other threads. I know you guys are very busy with stuff. GameEx.ini log.txt

Should I delete this thread or something?

-

Hello, I have a rom that isn't working. It says i'm missing this file name sfiii_usa.29f400.u2. I searched for the file but I could only find this file name instead sfiii3_usa.29f400.u2. I placed the file that I found into the roms folder but it still said sfiii_usa.29f400.u2 was missing. So I just changed the name of the file I found to match the file name I needed, then the rom seems to load until it says that there is a graphics error and then the screen goes black and makes some beeping noises. Is sfiii3_usa.29f400.u2 the correct file? or do I need to keep searching? I don't want to have to change the MAME that i'm using because it works for another rom that I use. I just need to get mame to recognize the file sfiii3_usa.29f400.u2 I attached the ini and log files. GameEx.ini log.txt

I don't see how to mark the thread as RESOLVED. But yes, I would say this thread is RESOLVED.

Yes it must have been a bad rom because it is working now. Thank you again for your help!

I think there must be something wrong with the rom like RIP Felix says. Because the rom path is correct. I'll try a different one and then upload my ini and log file.
-
I am a little confused here is what it says my rompath is inside the "Emulators.ini" file Dir1=C:\Emulators\MAMEUI64_0.139_29-07-2010\MAMEUI64_0.139_29-07-2010 Extracted\roms ;Dir1=c:\Model2\roms What is the ;Dir1=c:\Model2\roms? isn't one path enough? should I delete this? I am attaching the "Emulators.ini" file EMULATOR.INI

Hello, I am trying to run House of The Dead 2, but when I do I get an error that says I'm missing files. I attached 2 pics of the error as well as my log and ini files. I look on google for help but all I found was a website that wanted me to download a video. Any help on this would be really much appreciated. log.txt GameEx.ini

I adjusted the settings as described in the video. Also, the game is not working outside GameEx either. It has the same problem. I tried running it in GameEx again as well and then I attached the ini and log files. GameEx.ini log.txt

Thank you for any help you can give. You guys are amazing!

Did I attach the files correctly for you?

Here are my Log and ini files I'm also attaching the error message I get when I try to open GameEx. GameEx.ini log.txt GameEx Error Message.txt

No it is a different one. Should I post the Log and Ini files? GameEx never finished opening.
-
That sucks LOL. OK I'll give up on it. But what was the problem I wonder...

OK here are the log and ini files. I had to use a USB to transfer them to a newer computer with internet. log.txt GameEx.ini

Hello, I have several computers with GameEx on it. One of these old computers goes into a black screen when I try to run GameEx on it. The mouse dissapears for a few seconds while it's black and then pops into view. I can't get out of the black screen until the mouse shows up, then I just press the ESC key and I return to the desktop. I just installed GameEx on it. The Operating System is Windows XP. The computer is old, but still works. What could be the problem?

Hello, I am using an old PC that has Windows XP on it. I installed GameEx but it starts up with an error when I try to run it. It tells me that I should try turning off my advanced graphics and try using 16 bit color mode. I tried googling this and didn't find anything. I also looked in the setup wizard under display options but didn't find anything either. How do I accomplish this?

Hello, I am trying to run a ROM using Model 2 version 1.1a. The ROM seems to load but the screen is black except for some text that says "Sound Initialize..." and it just stays that way until I exit out and then it takes me back to GameEx. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm attaching my log and ini files after trying to run the ROM.

I still need to clean up my list and learn about making a custom list. But I was able to get rid of all the extra games that showed up on the All Games list. So I guess for this thread's purposes yes I got what I needed there. Thank you again.

The ROM opens in Model 2 but it says "Sound Initializing..." and it just stays there. Should I start a new thread for this?
