  1. Merry Christmas!
  2. That was gone long before I even met you.
  3. That's even worse! LOL.
  4. Would be best to import these emulator's settings so that the default command-lines are setup already. GameEx comes with predefined settings for popular emulators. Importing them will at least get you started and then can troubleshoot from there when having issues since such a broad range of issues.
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. Yeah! I don't like the new forum software. The BBCode is way weird. As far as filters, they are nice but not using them wouldn't keep roms from showing up. If roms don't show, then it could be due to the following: Rompath is incorrectRoms are in sub-folders and the setting is not chosenListing is cached for that emulator and the map file needs to be deleted so that it can be recreated by GameEx
  7. To answer the question, Yes. You can start more than one program with GameEx. A batch file could be used to do this but as suggested by KRC, there is a plugin to hide the cursor.
  8. I actually recommend buying it under his e-mail so it's tied to him and not you. Perhaps Tom can do something to that extent. Will direct him to this post.
  9. Thanks Tom!
  10. Hiding the desktop is the only way. If I remember correctly that this emulator closes it shows the menu screen and then may show the desktop as you say. I'd have to see the behavior for myself. That being said then another emulator maybe give you the results you're after. Maybe mednafen or another just to give it a try.
  11. Nestopia is the probably the best recommended emulator for NES. As far as your issue. Maybe it's not closing correctly. Please try to close the emulator with the required keys instead of using ESC. If that gives you the results you want then an advanced config would be the way to close it correctly.
  12. This needs to be done in Setup Wizard itself. That file is used for importing the standard settings into your setup which is why it had no affect.
  13. Meet in chat room for real-time support. I'll be there for awhile. Hate to see you struggling so much.
  14. I always look at NonMESS as a resource. Also I tend to look at emulator sites and see which ones are ranked highest by the emulation community. As far as emulators, I look to MESS, then Mednafen, then standalone. All depending on features I need for that system. So it's really a matter of preference.
  15. Thanks Tom!
  16. Glad you got it sorted. Enjoy!
  17. Thanks Tom!
  18. Don't need a whole collection but will need to fix the sets that have errors for those roms to work with that version of MAME. If all your chd's were removed then it could be due to the fact that they are in the old format so they don't match the current one. I'm not aware of your situation.
  19. Have a look here. And even more specific, here.
  20. Hmmmmmm. But are you really sure? LOL.
  21. Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great one!
  22. Are you sure about that? I've never downloaded any additional files and I have those files in my directory. I wouldn't suggest downloading the dll's on their own unless from a reliable source.
  23. I will direct Tom to this thread so he can have a look see. Thanks for the report.
  24. Nice! Thanks for this release Tom!
  25. Thanks for the news!
