Had a thought and tested and came up with an even easier solution. Just load the bios from command-line and won't have to deal with all that. It's much cleaner to do this way. So your command-line would be: Fusion.exe -scd -fullscreen "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"

You can do this 2 ways. Run the emulator as an External Application or you can have it in the emulator section by adding as normal and setting Treat as 1 PC game to Yes. This would require you having one rom since like you said, it won't allow you to launch the emulator. So a dummy file would work fine. Can call it whatever you want. So your command should be: Fusion.exe In the Wait Before Keys section include: 1000 Which is telling it to wait 1 second before sending the keys. You might have to toy with this setting depending on your system. Then in the Keys To Send section include the following: ^b%{ENTER} What this is doing is telling GameEx to send Ctrl+B which boots the Sega CD and then Alt+Enter to send fullscreen.

And that's the correct path? You're GameEx install isn't in the program files folder? Cuz that command works fine on my end. All I can think is maybe the ini file is corrupted or missing something.

Please post your config! Saying it doesn't work and we give suggestions doesn't help us to help you. So post your config and we can have a look see. The merge sets does exactly that where roms with similar names are grouped together. What naming format are your roms in? What is the extension of the roms? Please give more data.

Is this legal? It seems to be a cracked version! The original emulator is a demo and requires a key file. I don't think this is appropriate to link here.

Good deal! Yeah. As far as icon issue, it has to do with AutoIt itself. I'm creating a new loader soon that will not have the system tray icon so that will be eliminated. By VPA.exe are you referring to the vpauto.exe found in the GameEx directory?

Sounds like a filter problem. Can you please export and post your config?

I would do as bkenobi suggested and use an advanced config. Run Setup Wizard Click Next Choose Custom as the mode Click Next Check Emulator Setup Click Next Click Next till you reach page 3 click on the ... button in the Advanced Config setting Click on Process Wait tab Triple click on the empty space under where it says Process Select the exe to include (in your case VPA.exe) Click File and Save as (choose a name for your file) Now choose that file in Setup Wizard with the drop down box This will now add that file for GameEx to watch to wait to exit or close on exit. The other option would be to just add this to the launch after section: taskkill /f /im VPA.exe

Ok. Well that definitely proves that it's not GameEx. It's the command-line which looks fine on this end. I suggest downloading that emulator from the direct source and try setting up again and see if anything helps. I have that exact version and all is workin on my end.

Run a table and then exit. Then exit out of gameex and run the runitgame.bat file and see if it works then. Then we can eliminate some possibilities.

Are you sure you have it set to the right path and also that it's enabled Audio Settings? Make sure Arcade Ambiance MP3 is set to the file you want to play Set Play Ambiance to Yes

Well what's weird to me is that your config shows where your emulator is and yet the log only shows that its trying to launch the emulator from the E: path. Post your runitgame.bat as Brian suggested but I'm also running this version of GameEx and not having these issues. I've never encountered this one before. Usually when things start acting weird I myself and also suggest that you download GameEx from the site and install again.

Hmmmm... I think I remember something like this before but can't find the thread right now. Select Don't Use Bezel dropdown in the Use Bezel setting found in the Advanced MAME Settings section. That may narrow it down at least.

Remove that option from the command-line.

Great addition guys! Just tried it out. A few things though..... Not downloading latest emulator (MESS) for instance. One thing I like and dislike at the same time is the file structure. As it will make things more organized for the user, it's not how all people organize their art collections. For instance those who download torrents or from ftp (EmuMovies). Also when selecting ROM path then it will also create the folder C:\roms no matter which folder you choose. Also creates other folders as well. Again great idea if that's the way people are gonna organize but it's kinda forcing them to do so. Maybe change the way it's handled in leaving blank and not creating the folders anyways so that the user can then choose the folders they need in the config. Love the new feature though and see it has great potential. I'm here to help in anyway.

Switches are either ran from the command-line or from the mame.ini file. I personally use a mame.ini file to shorten my command-line and also it shows all the settings in it that can be changed to your liking. So either post your command-line and we'll help with your switches or post your mame.ini. If you don't have a mame.ini file and want one then you can create one by typing mame.exe -cc or in maybe your case mame32.exe -cc. I don't remember the exact name of the executable for Mame32 since I no longer use it.

Yes possible! Probably the easiest solution to this without doing coding yourself. That's why this is a great option. Otherwise you could create a wrapper/loader to load the bios you're wanting based off the rom name (region).
