  1. Okay I redid things and made a copy of the ini. I really appreciate the help, but I am not gonna dig further to figure out what went screwy. Hell, it could have been the beer deleting shit for all I know. If it disappears agin I will chime in. Thanks Bill
  2. Here it is. Looks like I need to rebuild it. But I will make a copy of the file this time. Thanks. PinballX.ini
  3. Okay I have loaded all of my emulator settings twice now, but they keep disappearing. They test fine when configuring, but when I come back in a few hours to play, thy are all gone. I have configured PinballX many times before, but have not seen this. Any ideas? Thanks
  4. Just wanting to know if there is a random selection feature that can randomly pick a table in PBX. Thanks
  5. Is there a such thing? I simply want to have PBX pick a random table to play. Thanks
  6. Its now working correctly. I did another PBX re-install, and added the LAV filters. I use PF videos and maybe the lack of the LAV filters was causing all the fuss. Now its working perfectly like with my last PC. Thanks all for the help.
  7. Tried admin. Issue remains. Noticed that it take a bit longer for "loading" to appear, once a table is chosen. Never seeing any errors. So the big issue now is I cant return to the PBX browser menu. Still hangs. Also using the latest rev of PBX too. No prior installations. Log attached. Many thanks for the help guys. Greatly appreciated. log.txt
  8. Okay some progress. But thing still seem to be very erratic. -Settings will now open up -PBX will run -I can browse the tables -I can select a table What is not working: -Cant exit a table and return to the browsing menu. It seems to hang with a black screen, and I have to restart the PC. Again I am using the .ini, configs etc from the prvious PC, that worked flawless. PinballX.ini
  9. Just built a new PC for the cab, and I cant get PBX to work at all. It installs fine, and I have copied the .ini, config files from a back up, and it should be working fine. I have installed it this way in the past and it just worked. But not now. Cant get into settings, and when you run PBX, the menus for browsing are working, but tables wont load. Dont even get the "loading window", and it also appears to freeze and I am not able to close out. If I alt/tab, I see two PBX's running. I also cant get into the manager. Sheesh. Have uninstalled, reinstalled. Tried 64bit/32 bit. Just dont get it. Is there a cleaner tool to clean the registry. I can only assume something in there could be the issue. Again this is a brand new system, and everything else appears to be working.
  10. Tom, Any word on this? Thanks
  11. Draco, i think i caused some confusion. I was speaking to if the industry would ever develop large square monitors to replace the hack job i have with the two smaller monitors. Sorry i was not more clear. No charmin squeezing intended. I am confident Tom can creat a script that will hide the icons like i need. He has helped me quite a bit in addressing the weird issue i see that are related to my more unique setup.
  12. Will do. Its really nice having a larger display for the backglasses. Even though its a major hack from two monitors. But until they make a 22" square monitor, I am shit out of luck. Gotta a feeling I will continue to be shit out of luck.
  13. Yeah I understand that. Mod would be best. Many thanks.
  14. Here is what I am talking about
  15. Dont really want to hide the desktop icons. Also running W10 home. I am running two monitors in the backbox that are in portrait mode side by side. I simp[ly span across them to create one large backbox display. So when PBX is running in the browsing mode. I am showing "backbox" image on the left monitor and thisd shows the tables flyer. On the right side, I run "topper" and this shows the tables play card. Now for each image on each monitor, it is NOT full screen. It is a "cropped image" that allows the desktop icons to show. So I am running something out of the norm. Best thing for me would be to force black screen or an image on all displays when PBX starts up. FIles attached and thanks. PinballX.ini log.txt
  16. Okay when I launch PBX, I can still see desktop icons on my backglass screen. I would prefer for those to be blacked-out when PBX is booting up. Or maybe even force a selected image so the desktop icons are covered. Is this possible?
  17. That sounds awesome. Thanks again.
  18. I would need more time to try them all. I have at least 140 vp10 tables. I can start testing tommorow if you like. But the fact that the troublesome bbbb is now working properly, gives me some comfort that the issue is much closer to a solution. I will test tomorrow and respond asap. Again many thanks for working on it.
  19. Results for the third exe - big step forward. I tested a handful of VP10 tables and the ones that would not load their backglasses with the second test exe, no work properly withthe third exe. Plus BBBB is now loading its backglass for the first time. Your definitely on the right path.
  20. trying now,.
  21. Results from the secon .exe. Looks like a step backwards. With "system type" still set to visual pinball. There are some tables now that are NOT loading their backglass properly. But they were loading them on the first test .exe.
  22. Okay, trying the second one now.
  23. Okay I just tried the above executable, AND set "system type" back to Visual Pinball. Most of the tables I quick tested had their backglasses load properly. However Funhouse would not NOT load its backglass, but the other handful did. Bugs Bunny still wont work no matter what. If I set "system type" back to custom, the FH will load its backglass propoerly. So this executable appears to me to be a step in the right direction, since now more tables are having their backglasses loading, with "System type" set to Visual Pinball - unlike the previous executable. Many thanks for working on this. I am eager to work with you to find the solution. Please feel free to send more executables to try. I will try them as promptly as possible.
  24. Yeah this was not a problem many many revs ago. Downloading it now.
  25. LOL so you have egg-balls now. I bet a lot of people will be getting egg-balls along with you after all the Hell I am raising on the matter. Ok, I added the default .exe in PBX settings - problem remains. I am now convinced that load time does not even factor into the issue. I turned off "force exclusive full screen" in VP10 video settings - problem remains. Unchecked "texture compression" - problem remains. Now I do believe I have stumbled onto something that "appears" to have greatly reduced the issue. In PBX setup for "other systems, there is a setting for "system type". I previously had this set to "Visual Pinball" for my two VP10 entries, and the DB2S backglasses would not load. I changed this setting to "other" and now every DB2S is loading correctly, except for one. I have tested about 10 VP10 tables and the backglasses loaded, but the one for BBBB would not load. Not too sure why that is, cause it will load through the VP10 editor. This is the setting I am referring to: So this setting is playing some role in the problem. Can anyone explain what this setting is really doing? I will do some more testing, but as of now, things appear to be much better. Hopefully I am getting close. I wonder if "other systems" is playing a role. The reason I dont use the normal "visual pinball" setup in PBX, is because all tables would be launched by the same executable, and I have 4 executables: -VP10 0 degree -VP10 10 degree -VP9 VP9PM Now if there were multiple normal "visual pinballs" that I could leverage, and be able to use different executables, then I would not need to use "other systems".
