  1. I will try GL and see if it helps. What would I expect to see different by using GL over DX?
  2. Like Mike said. Newer tables need 10.8. I might try an older version of PBX, but I am going to blindly assume that the issue might still be there. Hopefully, they will release 10.8 final and you guys can find the bug.
  3. I am currently using 6.20. I first noticed this on 6.13. At this time, I dont want to touch VPM because everytime I do, something gets jacked up. Yes, I am running 10.8 RC5. Right now, PBX is unusable in my Pincab, so I will need try something else. I do appreciate you guys jumping on this because I am sure there are many others having the problem. But again, I much prefer to use PBX. I will monitor this thread for updates.
  4. What is the "full screen hack". What is it doing?
  5. Okay the full screen hack was already turned off. Thanks for the tip on how to show the mouse. It is now easier to force close PBX when it barfs. So you guys think this is releated to latest Pinmame. That seems consistent because the issue seems to show up on newer VPM tables. It does not seem to happen on simple VPM tables, and never happens on EM tables. Do you guys need anything else from me? Looking forward to the fix. Oh yeah. Does the long pause when exiting VP10 back to the browser menu have something to do with this issue? The return time to the browser media is easily twice as long as it used to be.
  6. Will do on both points. Thanks and I will replay back, but it wont be till early-mid next week.
  7. I have a super annoying problem where when trying to exit VP10 back to the PBX browser, things seem to freeze. This all seemed to start when I upgraded to 6.11, and I am now also seeing it on 6.20. Not sure what rev I had prior to 6.11, but this never ever happened. The issue seems to be random, but it can also happen quite frequently on certain tables. When this happens, I have to force close PBX. To make it even more annoying, the mouse pointer disappears after a forced close. Grrrr. When Playing VP10 through the editor, all tables exit properly. No problem there. I do run a 3-screen setup if it matters, and when in the browser, I show a topper image and a backglass image on my two stacked monitors in the backbox. Not sure if its related, but when I do have a successful return to the PBX browsing menu, its taking nearly twice as long as it used to. I saw in a similar thread that it might be exclusive full screen. I tried turning it off, problem remains. Also, I dont recall switching anything up on my cab that might have started this. Right now PBX is nearly unusable, and I really dont want to switch to a new front end. Any ideas? Thanks. log.txt PinballX.ini
  8. I am already running 10.8 latest Betas. It still seems to be working fine. Here is what I have for the DPI override on the VP executable:
  9. The issue is related to adjusting the scaling setting to 125%. I am doing this to make the icons bigger on the screens due to the high-res I am using. It also appears that this setting is enlarging the DB2S backglass images by 125% too, but this does NOT happen using PinballX. I have it all working now by using the override DPI setting within the VP10 executable instead of the one for PinballX. So with the DPI override checked in the VP10 executable, the backglass images are shown at the normal 100% setting. Now things are consistent. Thanks guys for chiming in.
  10. Thought I did. Will replay back soon.
  11. Attached.PinballX.inilog.txt Another detail:
  12. Take a look at this. The backglass images are properly sized through VPX editor, but are jacked when viewed through PinballX. I cant find a fix for this in PinballX settings. Why is it not simply showing the same backglass dimensions as shown when using the editor? What's going on here? Thanks
  13. User error. Audio not configured correctly. All good now. Thanks guys.
  14. Ok. But how about the speech coming out from the back right transducer. Any way to tweak that so it comes out the backbox speakers?
  15. I will look this weekend. Can you guys mention to Tom to consider using the one that allows a wider choice of speech options? One more thing. I am using the 7.1 SSF audio on my cab. The speech is coming out the rear right transducer. Is this the way its intended to work? Ideally, I would think it should come out the two speakers in the backbox. Just wondering if you guys are seeing the same. Is there a way that I can move the speech to the backbox speakers? You guys rock. Thanks again for the help hjere. Bill
  16. Okay I am seeing the same thing Scutters saw. Within the control panel (see attachment), I can change the voice and it does change for PBX. But, I only have three voices to choose from even though I downloaded several others. Yes, weird!
  17. 10 Pro here. Will try through the control panel as mentioned.
  18. Chalking this one up to likely user error. This can close.
  19. Okay I changed the voice within windows to a female voice. But, the change did not carry-over to the speech when browsing table in PBX. I researched this and saw where someone else encountered the same thing. So is there another step involved to have PBS use the voice that is selected within Windows?
  20. This can be closed. Recorder is working fine. It was user error.
  21. So I have always noticed that the videos shown when browsing have a white hazy appearance too, and I have seen this on two different PF TVs. I will try to post a photo of the table in browsing mode and play mode. Its not a big deal for me, but it would be nice if it can be tuned out.
  22. Okay here is an update. When I use the global "create videos" feature, it appears to be working as designed. It does not appear to be skipping tables at all. I was "ASSuming" it would go through the tables in alphabetical order, but this does not seem to be the case. It seems to go after EM tables and early 80's tables first, and then it moves onto to DMD tables towards the end. Anyone know what the order is that the PinballX recorder follows when using the global "create videos" function? I have not tested enough yet to see if its looking at year or something else. Buts its definitely not alphabetical order. Have not looked at DBM yet.
  23. I will also lookover DBM tonight too.
  24. Load times are longer through the editor too. For example, AC/DC get skipped over when using the automatic recorder. However, if I use the recorder at the AC/DC table level, it records just fine. Of course I could do all these problematic recordings one at a time, but thats obviously not ideal. For maintenance type work like this, I run windowed mode. I will look it over closer tonight and post some logs.
