Just a heads up.... Do NOT go anywhere near Slikstik..... A whole cartload of crap is about to hit the fan..... Just build one to fit in...that way you can chose what Joysticks you prefer.... Ultimarcs 360's are programmable so you can program on the fly to a 4 way, 8 way, 2 way etc.... I have not tried them, I cannot afford them but I have heard good stuff about them... I have an Ex Sega virtua fighter 3 cab....I'm using an I-Pac (It's a non Jamma cab) and an ArcadVga and the results are great once you have tweaked the settings etc.... But as Tom says if you're picky and/or want to play modern PC games on your cab then don't bother

I can't really say anything on that...Apart from TinyXP installed and booted a lot quicker.... I muck about and try things......Me likey doing that....... I was using an old Dell optiplex 450 as a test box and someone was chucking out a P3 1133 so I said thank you and decided to have a muck about with it........I have a project in mind and I am experimenting To really piss Tom and others off.....I only use Gameex to listen to the radio and launch a jukebox proggy.....Maybe a few seek and find games in the future......Should work well on a touchscreen........ Emulation wise I only run Mame and thats on my cab(Converted Sega Virtua Fighter 3).....With a P3 600......and Vers 0.96 Not even tried mame on this box (The latest I built)......With a E6600.......... Not really using Gameex for what it was designed for...But it floats my boat for what I need.... Basically I just fark about with things all the time and see if they work...which in the tinyXP case it did not...I might use Nlite for a stripped down build in the future when I have everything set up the way I want it..... Then again I will prob buy a cheap AMD 64 and mobo etc and go that route............ Then again who can tell...... Me......I aint got a clue......Maybe I'll get a new idea.........

I would say a stripped install It looks like the same error I was getting using a stripped XP (TinyXp).. After an install of the Full XP it worked fine

Well full install later and ya baby is working.... Will keep that Nlite in mind though..... When I finally stop testing and get around to actually building sthg.... Just faffing at the mo..... And drinking.... *Hic*

Cheers Tom... Thought it might be.... Just trying a stripped XP for speed etc it's an old box P3 1133....But faster than the 450 test box I was using.... It's playing merry hell with my Jukebox software as well..... Looks like a full XP install then..... Ohh and ignore the sent error I hit the wrong button.........

I've started GameEx up Many times over the past 3 *weeks* and there has been no update message... I'm beginning to get a bit worried..... Was Tom finally caught with Teh goat ??? and is now paying the price..... A case of blue tongue maybe ?

And Yea I was on crack when I said most times played.....I was thinking you would only play a game once, which is wrong... The timer method has also been discussed in the past.....In fact the Arcade manager where I bought my cab was VERY interested in such an idea and asked if it could be done, not only with Mame (Once I explained what it was) but also with Playstations and X-Box's.... He makes a very good point, seeing as any posts about even hooking up a coin mech you have in your cab are frowned upon and deleted just in case..... Anything that opens up Mame to commercial operators is a no no..........
