    Yeah I know that excuse. I have been active in the zen forum. It is a good point, but they should let the user decide if they want to sacrifice the color for the real dmd. I think the main reason is that their current dmd material looks like crap on the pindmd because it is no real dot matrix but just some video with grid effect. Anyway, I understand it is to much effort for no return except happy cabinet people.

    I remember reading that thread a year ago (the cat of the wife jumping on the keyboard is very memorable). Came to the conclusion that nvidia skipped the hotkey funtion after xp. so if you have nvidia and win7 or newer you have to use irotate or display.exe or you ahk everything, which maybe is slower. if I am wrong I am happy to find out a better solution, but irotate is so super convenient... I have it always running to use the script posted above, but you can also call it with a parameter and exit afterwards.

    Great job on those real DMD vids!!! Thanks for the update. Now just Zen has to support real DMD, but that may never happen

    Ah? Didn't know that was windows built in. I know that it existed with some driver back then, but maybe not for AMD or was it Nvidia? Which windows version supports this?

    Have no access to my cab right now. Does the pause function work for you? Can you return to game and start a new game? If I know that it is supposed to work I know something is wrong on my side.

    Can someone just report what the normal behaviour is on their setup? Lightning fast or reasonably visible wheel speed when button is held down?

    Ok a single push is totally possible, but it would have been nice to use the hold down option to browse through the tables at non-superhuman speed. Maybe this can be fixed. And what jumps from letter to letter? Pg up and pg down? Can't try right now.

    hi the wheel speed is really really fast. so when I am in the selection screen and press and hold the button for left or right it rotates so fast I can't see anything. like a random selector. is this normal or a bug/wrong setting? can this be adjusted somewhere? thanks

    Hey, when I press the "Pause / in Game" button (VP, table idle) the app (VP) looses focus, so I cant start a game. when I press the mouse button on the VP window it regains focus and game can be started. BUG?

    Had some good results converting to 256x64 greyscale and upping contrast. Still look a bit shabby, but no more big distortions. It is definitely the source with the fake dmd effect. Now that I look at it it is really cheaply done by zen. No wonder they don't want to support real dmd output. They would have to redo all the animations. EDIT: Just wanted to add that after I had no luck with virtual dub I used any video converter AVC free. nice and convinient little programm. you can't apply global effects to several batch files yet, but maybe the devs listened to my support request. so you have to go file by file.

    Iguess it is zens original dmd then. It is no real dot matrix but more or less a black grid overlay which changes size. So no easy way to get it clean. Pindmd does quite a good job then. I'll trz to play with some filters and settings, maybe i can get some better results. Nukelauncher is a launcher app for pinball fx and soon tpa to use with pinballx. Very nice! Jeff here in the forum programmed it and if you donate he provides a media pack (only for fx2) which is quite nicely sorted.

    OK thanks. Found your other thread later and saw that you use virtualdub.As I am a total noob to this you don't happen to have a setting profile to share or sth? Are further plugins needed? I tried to open mp4 fiiles but it didn't work. EDIT: mp4 because I also have access to the nukelauncher media files which are in good quality. Somehow virtualdub can't process them.

    Hi, does anyone have strange ouput problems on pindmd2 with the fx2 videos found on the ftp? the are full colour videos made for lcd. pindmd plays them but they look pretty distorted and you get some kind of big spots / distortions which are always in the same place. at least I could have some real dmd output in the selection process

    Thanks! EDIT: had a problem cause I dont exit by esc key, so I just made the script to wait for tpa to exit by itself, and then rotate back. ...     is it an exe used as a lauch before executable in pinballx? you mind to share that? OR @Jeff: It would be awesome if the upcoming TPA launcher would integrate that to work with irotate or display.exe
