  1. HI Jeff, I noticed that in the mediapack the Table Videos for High-Speed, Star Trek TNG, and Twilight Zone are somehow Backglas Images renamed to mp4. big thanks for the nice collection.
  2. I guess I can confirm that the timing is not consistent. I too had it working and now it stays put on Attack from Mars, no matter what values I put. And it makes no sense, because I can see the start screen for ages, so it should theoretically be faster. Have an overclocked system with ssd. I tried andycos method of renaming the XML table names to TDiner etc., but no luck. Didn't think it was necessary, because it worked before if run by command line. The internal guessing engine should do the trick. So I am back to Jeff default XML now. @ andyco: your table manufacturer dates are totally messed up in the xml you postet, if you give a sh**
  3. what pinballX version are you using? i have the latest 1.92 and I noticed some differences in the pinballX.ini files.... now I am stuck with the same thing that it lauches, but only goes for attack from mars. can't seem to resolve this by timing adjustment. makes no sense, because nukepa allone works perfectly fine. I feel there is something going on with the key mapping. I have xpadder and x360ce and custom key mapping in pinball arcade going on... so I guess I will disable the xpadder plugin in piballx and clear all the key settings. I use a vpin conttroler anyway, so basicly i should't need keyboard inputs for pinballx.
  4. I THINK I almost got it! PinballX has to run in fulscreen Windowed mode!!! maybe some exclusivity problems. [Display] Monitor=0 rotate=270 .... FullScreenWindowed=True .... was this written somwhere and I missed it? well now I have the "it only goes to Attack from Mars - Issue" but this I will resolve... parallel it pumped up the volume quite a bit so I almost got a heart attack. maybe it is not the best idea to have up and down arrows assigned for volume in pinballx???
  5. no I got that covered, as shown in the vid I sent you nukePa alone works perfectly fine. only with pinballX...
  6. no, that is correct. this is the thing I was talking about the whole time :-P pinballx and nukepa1.1 define the 90 degrees clockwise. for nukepa1.2 you changed it to counter clockwise, which is the same that irotate and display.exe do. so 270 in pinballx gets the same result as 90 for all the others. that is fine, because it all leads to the same orientation. it is just a way of definition (and leads to a little confusion).
  7. thanks, that button was kind of invisible to me the whole time.
  8. sure, here you go - still haven't found out how to do an attachment here... https://www.dropbox.com/s/vlogqjt06nd39p6/nukepa1.2.zip?dl=0 In addition I sent you a link of a video example to your [email protected] email.
  9. thanks jeff, but still not working for me in combination with pinballx . standalone works perfectly fine. my test table command is "Goin Nuts" (pun intended), and it perfectly selects the table. I have to play withh the timing a liitle, but had no luck with that. I see the "press start" screen for 10 seconds before anything happens, but when I try to reduce the timing for start delay to something lower than 15000 it moves to exit game button??? but back to the important stuff: rotation now works with 90 instead of 270. thanks for the consitency with irotate, but pinball arcade.exe still crashes when launched by pinballx. after I return to pinballx the selection screen is turned 90 degrees to the right (landscape). something fishy is going on here. EDIT: another strange thing is that when I go back to pinballx after trhe crash it shows a different table. this can ether be that the attract mode is running in the background or that pinballx recognizes some keypresses while nukepa is trying to lauch the table...
  10. i did all that but there is no default "pause" key in VP, or at least you can't see it anywhere in the settings? is it p? how the heck should one know (yes of course:rtfm) it is hard enough to keep track of all the keys and key mappings if you have 4 pinball softwares, xpadder, x360ce and pinballx running. and that does not include secret hidden keymapping. I have the puase function in PinballX mapped to "U" and the joy button is definetly not used by anything else. it stll looses focus after returning from pause and I can't start a game. when i klick on the game window it works again. note that this all happens before a game is started. edit: same applies if I let go of the exit emulator key before the timer is over, can't get back into game befor I do a mouse klick on the display
  11. mpad

    Wheel speed

yeah I undestand this and it is perfecty fine, but it is as if it does like 1000 keypresses per second, which I can't reproduce in real life, no matter how hard I try. so if it wold do like 2-3 keypresses per second when held down I could actually see what is going on on the wheel and stop at the desired table. just wanted to know if it is fast for everyone and if it can be adjusted.
  12. hey what are you using for rotation? irotate or some native driver thing? is your pinballx display rotated?
  13. just to show you the mix up with irotate and between 90/270 degrees: maybe irotate is causing the issue with pinballX? I would switch to display.exe or whatever, if this helps. I have the latest nvidia driver under win8.1 and native hotkey support is not available. EDIT: here is my display.exe script, works like a charm and maybe more stable than with irotate. maybe you can add an option to call display.exe strangely with display.exe I also need to set it to 90, to get same result as 270 for nukepa and pinballx. maybe just the direction of rotation is different (clockwise or counter clockwise), so it doesn't match. #NoEnv ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey releases.SendMode Input ; Recommended for new scripts due to its superior speed and reliability.SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% ; Ensures a consistent starting directory.run Display.exe /rotate:90Sleep, 2000 ;1000 = 1 secondRun, G:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\PinballArcade\PinballArcade.exe ;Set your own pathProcess, wait, PinballArcade.exeWinWait, ahk_class Pinball ArcadeWinActivate, ahk_class Pinball ArcadeWinWaitActive, ahk_class Pinball ArcadeWinWaitClose, ahk_class Pinball Arcade Process, WaitClose, PinballArcade.exerun Display.exe /rotate:0 ExitApp
  14. before you change something: mine definetly goes to "My Tables" and I own the legal steam version with all 4 season pro passes. steam version is 1.33.8
  15. no idea how to post an attachment, so heres my dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/s/hlo6gyszkh0rst4/NukePA.ini?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/65a56ey4jhxp4w8/PinballX.ini?dl=0
  16. I meant that the real DMD seems not to be able to distinguish enough between the grey and white colors, so it is all orange. This is black knight:
  17. OK this explains that Irotate seems to have the wrong definition for ctrl+alt+left. So 270 is the correct setting for me. Do you have an idea why it only works command line and not with pinballx? Jeff thanks for the answers and all the best for both of you.
  18. I can 1000% confirm I did the same thing. It launches, rotates and perfectly selects the table when I start NukePa by command line. with PinballX -Pinball Arcade crashes. Just noticed the error message is displayed in the correct orientation, so that seemed to work. but when I close the error with task manager and go back to pinballx the interface is rotated 90 deg to the right so now I am 100% sure it messes with the internal PinballX rotation engine. tip: maybe ask tom how it works and if it can be used for nukepa. so I can get rid of irotate.
  19. hey Jeff, thought you wanted to take some days off good news is, when I run NukePA standalone with tablename in comand line it works. I have to set rotation in NukePA to 270 to get the same orientation I get when I set Irotate to 90??? same for me with the pinballX internal rotation, the I have to set to 270 too. someone mixed up left and right arrow? whatever! so basically it works. I tried to start with pinballX - no chance. my pinballX config looks exactly like yours, but no luck. I get the same windows Pinball Arcade.exe stopped working bla error like when Pinball Arcade gets a display setup that is not defined in the PA config tool. Did you test with Pinball X rotated? its in the first two lines of the PinballX config: [Display] Monitor=0 rotate=270 So I am 99% sure NukePA gets a wrong rotation and that it is relatad to the screen being already rotated by PinballX. but when I set to 0 it still wont work...straaange. BTW: Great Media Pack!!! allthough some wheel images could be more high res if you stand in front of a 40" screen :-) the still images for digital segment tables like black hole show almost like full orange on my setup. I think the grey backgroung has to go. will do a test...
  20. Thanks. I thought I had checked for double key mapping, but maybe I have to do this again.
  21. I'll definitely wait befor I move my PA folder. 270 didn't work for me... just to rule it out: It should work with a German keyboard and german Windows? Maybe different keycodes?
  22. yes, I have. have been using pinball arcade and VP parallel for a while now and theoretically it should work. problem is I don't know exactly which rotation setting NukePA really uses, because everthing crashes. as said it seems to be something different than my default irotate 90 deg setting, as after I launch with nukePA pinballx is upside down. or maybe it uses the driver+irotate+pinballx and I end up by 450 degrees rotation or something... so it would be cool to have a default table to start without pinballx for troubleshooting, like the startlocation=14 in NukeFX. NUkePA requires a tablename to work. hmm... I hope there is another way than that, cause I want to keep it on the other harddrive. does steam update etc. still work after you move it? edit: I have the PA app installed in G:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\PinballArcade and NukePA is in the default steam folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
  23. Finally had time today to spend with the cab. Install and setup of NukePA is no problem once you know your way around with NukeFX. Sadly I can't seem to get it to work! There must be still something wrong with the the rotation stuff. my display default landscape setup is windows taskbar on the left, so use irotate for portrait mode at 90 degrees, which is Ctrl+Alt+left. when I set nukepa.ini to 90 the picture of pinballx interface is upside down and tpa wont start. I think it might interfere with the PinballX rotation. In PinballX I had to set the rotation to 270, to display the same as with irotate at 90 (which is already weird). no combination I tried worked. I always get a pinball arcade stopped working error. when I lauch it manually or with my ahk rotation script it works. Is there a default tabel start mode for NukePA to test it without PinballX? I didn't find a command line for that.
  24. I haaaate it. From reduced and streamlined to eyecancer. Why is there no alternative..
