Thank you very much for the quick reply, but this is not what i have in mind. i just want a option that i can ad a game to "favorites one" list or can add it to "favorites two" list and that it can be in both lists, is it not possible to have two favotites lists? i also want my favorites separated like i dont want super nintendo games in my mame favorites. is there a way to do this?

Hello, how can i enable a second favotites item in my gameex? I do want to setup a second one for somebody else to use it. i don't have GameEx evolution running. Thanks in advance

Sadly the model 2 emu does only use the primary display when switching to fullscreen, even when the position is on the second screen. I want to play Daytona, sega rally, sega touring car championship, super gt24. I do use the texture replacement from Daytona USA ++ Patch, i just moved the according folders with the textures to my model2 folder, it does work. if you not already have you must try the supermodel 3 emulator with daytona 2! (and of course scud race) In the GUI of the Daytona USA ++ Patch is a screen resolution select, but only for the fullscreen option :-( thanks for your suggestions!

Hello u-man, thanks for the very quick reply! "Are you trying to link instances on a single pc?" yes on one pc, works great (besides bad res.) I need a windowed resolution command to change the resolution when model 2 is started without going fullscreen. I have to do that because if you run two times the model 2 emu on one pc it is not possible to output one emu on screen 1 and the other on screen 2 in fullscreen. I have to use windowed mode for them ( or for one windowed and the other can go fullscreen with high res on the primary screen). "or do you link two pc´s together?" i try that on the weekend, 4 pc's+4monitor's+4 wheels linked :-D

Hello, i want to play the Model 2 Emulator 1.1a windowed with a high resolution (1920 x 1080). Does somebody know how to do that? I couldn't find a command or ini setting for that. >The reason is i want to run two linked instances, each on a different screen but in a higher res as the normal window does offer on one pc.So far its running well in low res (no force feedback for 2 wheel :-( ). I also tried to manage fullscreen on two screens but that seems impossible (or with high effort like setting up a virtual machine). Or am i mistaken? Thanks for any input!

Thank you for your great tool! It saved me a lot of work! One tiny thing, why a output folder? i now have to move many files :-(, maybe there should be a checkbox if you want it to be in a output folder (ok i got it, it's only a probelm when you have separate folders :-( and maybe look in folders Keep up the good work PS: It took me hours to figure out why MEDNAFEN (PCE CD) was suddenly not working, GameEx changed the Name of the Iso's, replacing dashes, and the CUE files pointed to the original names with dashes. Maybe there should be a little warning when enabling it in GameEx-Wizard, like: warning beware of your cue files etc. this will screw you! ;-)

@ Adultery 1. Are the Keyboard buttons always mapped for two controllers? where do i find the keyboard commands? I can't map anything because that part of the programm is faulty. its a known error but no matter what version i pick i cant configure controls at all. there is a solution but that is far to costly and then my other emulators had to be reconfigured because of changed controls. 2. can i use a profile for xpadder? after loading that profile and playing sega saturn when i then exit xpadder it does reset to the standard profile? because i have two arcade sticks already configured to play sega mega drive / cd / master system games so i dont want to break that in xpadder. 3. i was logged in on the emumovies website and there was only video snaps 1 gig big. does gameex natively support videosnaps? do i have to change anything in the config or should i just switsch in the view mode till i get a video snap in gameex? any other solution to get the snaps? i was wondering why there are no snaps for sega saturn, do not many people emulate sega saturn?

Thank you very much snarls. sadly i injected the part with the [input] into my SSF.ini but the second xbox controller wont work. i set in the controlls 1A and 2B to controller but only the xbox controller 1 works. i do have 4 wireless xboxcontrollers. it was worth the shot or do you have any ideas left? i mean one controller is working, why not the other one? i can't realy figure out what the .ini is about, what item is what in the [input] section, it's confusing. so maybe no street fighter alpha for me and pal :-( and one other question, emumovies is not suplying the snaps and ingame shots for SEGA SATURN, how do i get them? there must have been a time when they where hostet there but now they are gone. http://gamesdbase.com/game/sega-saturn/sonic-r.aspx in the gamesdbase it states:"Download all media with no watermarks from EmuMovies for use in the GameEx Front End." but sadly as i said it is not possible there even for members. is there any other place that till now i didnt find with google to download the snaps etc.? the Joyids and xboxoff are tools that are absolutly essential for emulation, many many thanks for sharing i will use them from now on! so cool so handy maybe i get SSF to work with both controllers when changing the id.

Thanks Adultery i didnt know that i have to install DTools lite, i can,t, it is somehow corrupted no matter what i do after usage of dtlite gameex is broken. that was the cause for this thread. buhuuuu why isnt VCD supporting cue... and alcohol is not a shareware just a demo with 30 days trial :-( is there any other solution left? UPDATE: i think i leave it that way, its to much a hassel for to little gain. i can play some games and i will be satisfied with that. Thanks for all and happy gaming! Continue your nice support of addons for gameex! UPDATE 2: it works! i use alcohol 120% now with the Virtual Drive Plugin. I can finally mount cue and mds and Gameex is still working! As i suspected, loading of a image through cue or mds is far better for SSF. Now games that crashed are working properly and cd music is working where there was silence before. Happy Happy joy joy! Can someone please mark it as resolved?

sorry about that maybe i can nail it to: 1. Can DTLOADER load .cue and .mdf? 2. How do i get DTLOADER to work? (there was no option in the pluginmanager options besides DTlite, VCD and Alcohol) 3. Are .cue and .mdf mandatory for a proper emulation in SSF? Thanks again for the support!

OLD PROBLEM skip it maybe: I have some questions about the Virtual Drive Plugin. I tried ssf.exe [DTLOADER] and tried a game that is in a zip and tried a game without zip, there is a waiting screen then ssf pops up after 4-5 seconds but sadly the drive is empty and when i look in the options of ssf there is no new drive to choose. 1. is this because "Using [DTLOADER] in the emulator's CL will mount using the default drive" means in a phisical cddrive or the default drive of lets say dtlite? i changed between my two phisical cddrives in ssf and opened and closed the cd drive in ssf without getting the game loaded. 2. I dont have any mounting software installed, does it still work? 3. I have put the DT Loader.dll in plugins folder but it was already there, do i have to activate it somehow? i didnt find any options to do that because you said:" If you enable it and add..." 4. I deleted all my launch before and launch after lines they are not needed? 5. I do have my romfilter set to: "*.cue;*.mds" is that right? Thanks for the great support! I switched also the EZ setting in the options to Full compatibility but for instance alien triology is shutting down or contra the disc is not readable. Are the .cue or .mds files mandatory to proper play saturn games on SSF?

Sadly i do encounter a new corruption, when i use ""C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -mount 0,"[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"" the cue or bin issnt mounted and ssf doesnt start and gameex is gone. after that dtlite is not useable anymore and i have to uninstall it and reinstall it. thing is when i mount manually and than start ssf.exe it loads what are my options if i want to make .bin-.cue or .mdf-.mds files to work in ssf? it does look like my dtlite is broken even after deinstallation and reinstallation and i dont have recovery file to fix that.

I found out why GameEx stopped working! It was a faulty DT-Lite. GameEx somehow looks for it at startup! after 2 recoverys i managed to get DT lite of my system and voila it worked! gameex was able to start again. i dont now what caused dt lite to be faulty but after i fixed it gameex did start again! somehow it did mess up and gameex is somehow dependent on a working dtlite!?? it was a solution to my problem that gameex didnt start anymore after it crashed while loading a image with its build in mounter. I now could even narrow it down more further: dtlite is corrupted when i started it with a .bin of a sega saturn title whith a launch before command. after that gameex wont start and only by disinstalling dtlite it will start again! ok its defintely that i was mounting .bin what caused everything! it messed everything up and i lost hmm 5 hours of my life!

Ok i did a recovery of my entire system, problem "solved" :-D it works again, like before. what ever caused this i hope i don't run into it ever again becaus it was a major problem with my system so finally backuping every morning is a nice habit ;-) Thanks for the support! should i mark it as RESOLVED? because its not a real solution though...

i did look in the process manager in the beginning and there was a process that was related to arcade-ambient music beeing loaded in the beginning because i had set gameex to load a mp3 file with arcade sound and that file being loaded was sayng critical in the E/A priority so unchecked everything related to sound in gameex in the ressouce monitor i also see that gameex is fetching data all the time like for 20 seconds and is accessing many files so the program is working on something but then went silent and there is no data activity yes it was a clean install and starting of gameex after that failed i now try to install to another location maybe that does the trick

ok i uninstalled gameex then cleaned the gameex folder, did a clean install and started gameex fresh and sadly same issue. :-( it won't start and is marked as "not responding" something has to be in an other folder or in windows what is causing gameex to stop from loading like a dll or dunno what game ex also cant always be tasked killed and i have to restart the pc in order to till some hours ago everything was great until i loaded a saturn game and task killed gameex because it was stuck mounting the image are there any options left what to do?

Thank you but the GameEx.ini does not work. I'll try a clean install and then writing my back up over it. I'll report back.

now it stopped working and won't load up even after 20 minutes I always had disabled the intro video, then i disabled every possible sound in the options and when i start GameEx in windowed mode it don't have to wait for hideOS.exe game ex and all emulators and roms are on the same drive that is build in my pc i updated the "game list" i disabled the "show all games" what can i do next?

i installed over the same directory but sadly same as before it won't start :-( are there any other possible solutions? UPDATE: OMG!!! i did let that window open for maybe 20 minutes and came back and now it works! I have to check it out further if it will work again and report back ASAP!

I tried GameLauncher mode because to see if something changes, after that i tried simple mode and now i'am back to normal. Its still broken so what are my steps? 1. backup everything from the Gameex folder 2. uninstall Gameex 3. reinstall Gameex 4 copy over existing installation by the way thanks for the very good support!

I now have a error in the setup wizard when trying to change the theme: the bug won't let me change the theme so i have to manualy put in the GameEx.ini "theme=Default - Media Center" when i now load gameex there is just the GAMEEx loading screen idon't have a video at start up and its disabled in the options at some point i did get this error log but now it just did not respond anymore and stays frozen with the GAMEEx loading screen: UPDATE: I tried the setup wizard again and now i can change the themes again but i let it stay on default media theme!!!

Hello, my Gameex stopped working after i loaded a Sega saturn image with the build in loader. there was the screen "waiting" for like 4 minutes, i pressed back or esc but i had to terminate the gameex with the taskmanager. After that i fired gameex up again but it won't load anymore, its just a black screen from the beginning, no sound nothing. in the taskmanager its "without respond". i changed the theme but no luck and i tried gameexlite.exe. restart my pc but still just a black screen. Hello, does somebody have 2 xbox360 controllers working with SSF? If so, can you please copy the [input] section of the SSF.ini and post it please? I do have a bug with SSF in it that don't let me configure my controls. Thank you!
