I had similar problem with my avisnaps not playing or appearing in gamex and downloading ffdshow from gameex website just solved the problem. Thanks for the suggestion...

I just started to use Vista 64... My pc is a dual core 3.0GHz not overclocked and I am running MAME64. Many of the slower roms( blitz, carnevil, guantlet) run very well so would highly recommend trying it compared to XP 32 bit. I am a registered user but wondering how to get rid of the lag screen. I ran the part wjhere it updates the registry but the lag is still occuring. Thanks in advance..

I only have MAME gmaes in the attractmode so it should be okay.. Do you know where the option is?

For about a week period Game-ex was dispalying game info ( name, marquee, stars rating, etc.) during screensaver mode. I assumed it was a new feature but it has since stopped working. Any idea how to start it again and where the setting is located?

I founda work around for the two blitz games not working... If you let teh demo play thru until actual game footage starts to play, they work. Strange but true...

I'm running a Dual Core E6850 3.0 GHz so I thought I would give blitz a try to see how the speedy it ran (before I try overclocking). Original Blitz runs at 75% but Blitz99 & Blitz2k stop working right after the team select screen. I tried with several versions of mame(mamep .118, mamepp 123, mame32gui) and they all crash. Has anyone gotten these roms to work (even though they woudl run slow) see below the errors... other than havings the paths correct, do i need to install a plug-in? do the directories need specific names? thanks as always...

i have set the paths in the emulators section but how do i get the categories to appear in the emulaotro game list? I thought it would be similar to setting the paths in the MAME section (showing snap, marquee, cabinet, etc.) but I don't see it. Thanks again..

i can't seem to find where to implement the box art, manuals, etc for consoles emulatations. I'm sure I just mised it. ANy help would be appreciated.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my daphne problem was a commnad line error... I would recommend viewing Brian's You Tube Tutorial as that made the most sense. Thanks to all.

Would it be possible to show your set up screens in game ex? I can run games from daphne loader. I copied the command line as you suggested and ran the game from the windows run command. I was able to get it to run drom an external app in game ex but NOT thru the game ex daphne section. Not sure what I am doing wrong...

Thanks for the patch link... What I meant regarding the key mapping was they were different in mame stand-alone and mame inside game ex... Also, anyone know how to map keys in Zinc for a slikslik. Again, thanks for all your help & Brian your demo on installing daphne was great...

i just got a new set of complete chds and roms with version .118 mame. I have a slikstik quad and now the sedttings don't work the same in mame as they do in game ex... Is their a config file I have to re-do? Example.. Artwork off in mame but it displays in game ex.. "=" key is fire button in mame but not configured in game ex.. The show game info screen is "off" in mame but I can't get it to turn off in game ex.. Thanks for any assistance....

New to the baord so it's probably just me. I tried running the gameex create avisnaps program. At first it crashed looking for a directory. I added one and it started to run. I could see it go thru the games witha start rec and stop rec but after it cycled thru all the games it just started to recycle tru again and again. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks
