    My best diagnose on this issue is that MAME is crashing, not GameEx. The issue is because MAME is still open in a crashed state it is causing GameEx to crash.

    I had a look. i can see no reason why .bat files with curly brackets won't launch but other .bat files will. Are you sure it is not just an issue with .bat and .au3 in general? That is what i am thinking. One thing i did notice is you should wrap your command line in quotes.

    Can you please post a log after trying to launch a .bat file. Also please share data\runitgame.bat after launching a .bat file.

    Im fine with tables being posted. No roms though. I will look shortly but one suggestion. Please try running PinballX in full screen windowed mode. Please provide the files again. Thank you.

    PS: It appears to be an issue after exiting attract mode. Does that sound right? Is attract mode working and launching mame games?

    Thank you for the detailed info. i will look into it further shortly. Its probably a bug in GameEx. Not much you can do.

    I tested CP Wizard a few weeks back. It worked fine. I think there is an option to launch it at startup. Have you tried turning that on?

    Well, i still see its launching GameExtender viewer in the log..

    To cut a long story short I am assuming the setting start gameextender viewer with gameex is unintentional and it is gameextender viewer or some other .net app causing the exception. See here:
