[RESOLVED] Gauntlet starting in Spanish Version

Hi,

I'm making great progress with getting my MAME favorites to work with Gameex. I appreciate all the terrific help from this forum. For some reason, whenever I try to run the game "Gauntlet" via Gameex, the Spanish version appears. When I run it from MAME32, the English version (rev 14) comes up. It seems the English version is titled "Gauntlet" and the Spanish version is "Gauntlets" (with an "s" at the end). Here is the Runitgame.bat file from Gameex:

CD "C:\Emulators\Mame32"

MameUI32.exe gauntlets -rompath "C:\Emulators\Mame32\roms" -nowindow -joy -skip_gameinfo -resolution 336x240 -nohwstretch

It shows that it is starting "gauntlets" which would be the Spanish version. How do I get Gameex to start "gauntlet"?

Is only one game being listed in the mame list? Perhaps the filters are filtering it out. May depend on your filters or may even depend on your roms which probably is unlikely since MAME32 is launching the correct one. Please go over your filters. Also give more detail. May be a good idea to save your gameex.ini file as a text file and post in the forums so that we can troubleshoot.

if both titles appear in the gameex list under mame just delete the one you dont require, or look at the rom names and rename gaunlets to gauntlet, but as fRequEnCy has stated check your filters and make sure its not been filtered out 1st.

look at the name of the roms and see if you have gauntlet and gauntlets if so just delete the one you dont require and ensure its named guanlet. Then do an update list in gameex. If you only have 1 rom then you may need to obtain another copy of the rom. Google is your best friend to find it.

Thanks! I tried deleting the game before and then it the game didn't run. I did not run the update. Now it works fine. I really appreciate your help.
