Instant Sheller + Windows 7

Just setting up GameEx, and not wanting to see the Windows 7 loading screens in my arcade cab, I decided to use InstantSheller. 07

Seem to have worked, but when botting up, it did not use GameEx as the shell.

I've gone back into InstantSheller to be faced with "Undo Changes". When clicking this I get a Unhandled exception has occure. (I'm running as an admin, have tried compatibility mode and set it to also run as an admin, and UAC is off) .

Hi Savage - Not exactly sure where to start as I do not shell my system. I would ask, however, that you provide us with a copy of your log.txt file after this occurs. Did this occur during the initial boot or following specific game(s)? If a game, what emulator(s) and game(s) or indicate if occurring on all attempted.

Some things that i would probably try would be rebooting PC entirely and see if error replicates, reinstall Instant Sheller 0.07 and, again, see if you can replicate.

This is obviously a programming error that needs to be fixed and since we downloaded it here, you guys are responsible.

Whether you had another programmer do it or what ever the case is, it needs to be fixed as it is a widespread issue.

Either fix it or tell me exactly what instant sheller does to change the shell, because it surely doesn't edit the winlogin shell registry key.

I developed it. This is the first I have heard of it. Could you please provide the details and links of the other users having this issue?

By the way folks, it works fine. I tested with a fresh win 7 x64 install on a virtual machine and there were no issues. So not only is the guy unpleasant he is a timewaster too. He may have an issue personally but it is not widespread like he claims. He has also now ensured that he won't get help with his own issue. So basically that is a good example of how you don't get in life

Also tested and working on my 32-bit Windows 7 VM, for the record. I also performed a clean install prior to testing.

It doesn't seem to work on my Ubuntu though.
