hI GUYS,

While fiddling around with GameEx trying to create snap videos for my JNES roms i asked gameex to create the video snaps up popped the compression window i didnt know which 1 to use so i used microsoft 1 did the snaps but no sound ran gameex went to emulators clicked on jnes gameex crashed with a GAMEX has stopped working. on exiting i also found that explorer has crashed and had to exit explorer via the ctrl alt delete end program and then re run explorer all ok, has any one else foound this and which compression mode should i use to make small snaps ( with sound ) as uncompressed one are 703 meg for 30 secs lol !

I use the Divx codec for mine. SOme people recommend FFDShow too. It's really a matter of preference.

I DONT Have DIVX CODEC Or FFFDSHOW As an option i have:

microsoft rle

microsoft video1

intel iyuv codec

cinepak by raduis

vp60

vp61

full frame ( uncompresssed }

? any ideas, and ive never tried compressing a video down so wouldnt know where to start.

Did you install the Shark007 Vista codec pack?

You can also check my Installation guide, to be found in my signature for the settings You have to do after installing the shark codec pack...

Thanks have downloaded shark will install and use andre's guide.

Also make sure that VMR9/EVR is enabled in the Advance Configuration - Multimedia/HTPC section.
