Guys, probably a real dumb question but I've just started downloading video packs for my emulators.

I just downloaded the sega model 2 vids but have no idea as to where to put the video files (flv format)

I can see the option for the other emulators such as nintendo64 for example but sega model 2 settings are in the advanced mame part of the setup!

Please help a real noob to all this

Many Thanks!

There is no "correct" or "incorrect" place to put the extra content for you roms (videos, snaps, box art, etc). There are a few ways that are common though.

  1. Split out everything by type of content, then by system. (e.g., c:\emulation\box art\NES)
  2. Split everything by system, then content. (e.g., c:\emulation\NES\box art)
  3. Split everything by emulator, then content. (e.g., c:\emulation\Nestopia\box art)

I personally prefer option 2, but I can see uses for the other ways. I think the consensus around these parts is also with method 2, although I do recall discussions talking about the other directory structures. Do whatever makes the most sense to you.
