Hi all

I've *************** Sega Model 2 Roms and my problem is this :-

Being a noob with setting up emulators I generally use the start up wizard to download the emulators for a specific system, however there doesn't seem to be one for the model 2. I have seen references in the forum to Nebula but when i used setup to download it, my AVG reported a virus in the nebula.exe file so i quit there.

The emulator **************** was called "emulator_multicpu.EXE" and this woked fine.

Does anyone else play sega model 2 games and if so, can they point me in the right direction as to which emulator to use and basically how to incorperate it into my gameex

Many Thanks

PS.

One more thing guys, Is there a setting which allows random game selection to be specific to a user defined system as opposed to a game from any system ?

I edited your post to not mention how you obtained your roms.

I would not hesitate to download the Emu from the setup wizard, All of the files are kept on Tom's server. I have downloaded 130 Emus, with no problems. AVG has a tendency to report false positives.

emulator_multicpu.EXE is the correct name of the exe, assuming you have a dual core processor.

I do not think that you can select what systems to use for random games, but I have been wrong in the past. smile.gif

Cheers tempest , i'll certainly ignore AVG.

Can you just confirm which emulator i need to download in the setup because im pretty certain that when i downloaded nebula, there was no "emulator_multicpu.EXE" file included.

Thanks for the help !

I see what you arre saying, there is no 'Model 2' to download in the setup wizard. I tried downloading the Model 2 emulator from the Nebula website 3 times, but never succeeded. sad.gif

Just use the emulator_multicpu.EXE that you have. All you need to do is got to 'Advanced MAMEsettings', Set 'Use Model 2 Emulator' to 'Yes', and on the next page, Set the Model 2 path. You will probably need to update your romlist, to finalize the buillt-in support for Model 2.
