I would like the ability to when I select a game under a system, GameEx would ask me which emulator I would like to use. For instance playstation games. Certain games play better under a certain emulator and others games work better under a different emulator.If a choice was given at run time,I would have to have it set up twice.

A second feature I would like to see and it may exist and I just can't find how to do it. When I play the jukebox and or movie if I have video ambience on it plays in the background. I like it playing when I am playing games but not when I'm listening to music.

One thing you could do would be to set up both Playstation emulators and have the roms you want associated with the different versions in different folders. Set up the pathways for the roms to the relevant folder. You then use the function where you create emulator groups to put the Playstation games back into one list.

This is what I do with my Visual Pinball games as version 8 & 9 games are not interchangeable.

It's not quite what you want but it would solve your problem in a relatively neat fashion.

I copied half of it to the feature request thread. The help for arcade ambiance does say that it plays constantly.

Is there an easy way to distinguish between v8 and v9 roms for VP?

The title of the tables will usually say VP8 or VP9 when you download them. If you haven't changed the names you should be able to work it out easily.

@starbuck i got the problem but with dolphin i use 5 different rev of dolphin for different games so i made a batch file for each game to open with what rev of dolphin i want

you can edit it for playstation games but i cant get work in side of gameEX dont no why i got my pc games running like that but the batch file opens Xpadder and the game maybe you could get it to work hopefully you dont got a 100 games that a lot of work then

it starts the game but gameEX comes back to focus and game still plays behind it i tried showdesktop=false but i get a direct3D plugin error with dolphin

What's happening is that GameEx is taking back focus cuz the bat file is what it's watching. Since the bat file is finished what it's doing then it doesn't know to watch Dolphin. The best way to do deal with it is to use an advanced config and have it watch for the Dolphin process as well. It's easy to figure out but if you need step by step then you can find some instructions I gave here.

This would be a great feature....I like the ambience, but I end up always having it off due to the above issue.
