Trouble Playing Games

I am able to see all my games but when I choose one of them it takes me to a start game screen. I choose start game and then it goes to a black screen the right back to the start game screen. I'm sure it is an easy fix. Can some one help?

This is for VNES. I can play the games just not through GameEX. Here is my config. I am using the default config from GameEx.

When you say it is working outside of GameEx, do you mean it is working through a command line or using the emulator GUI?

To troubleshoot you can enable the debug option in the configuration of the emulator in GameEx. You can see the commands that GameEx is using to launch the emulated game.

Or you can exit GameEx just after trying to run the emulated game. Open a command prompt. Change to the [directory where GameEx is installed]\DATA. Type â??runinit.batâ? to launch the emulated game just as GameEx would.

Verify your paths:

According do your config you should have your NES ROMS in this path â??c:\emulators\Nintendo NES\Roms\â? If this is not the case, correct the RomPath in your config.

Also according to your config, the VirtuaNES.exe is expected to be here â??c:\emulators\Nintendo NES\â? If this is not the case, correct the WorkingPath in your config.
