Off Topic Naomi Question

I got a question... Ikaruga runs horizontal and it is a vertical shooter, is there a way to correct this in NullDC?

Also there a few games that I load and get the following error:

Caution 51

Game Assignments are incorrect. Set correctly in system assignments of test mode.

I get that at the Naomi bios screen.

Any ideas on correcting either issue?

Ikaruga. Most likely the game really does run horizontally. They probably just mount the monitor vertically. So as far as the emulator is concerned it is correct. Until the emulator supports flipping the resolution you may have to swivel your monitor it you can.

As far as the caution 51 Id think its just inaccurate emulation. I believe f1 or f2 bring up test menu you can ry and change settings there but that may or may not make any diffrence.

The 0 byte files are normal most times. To see the actual contents you need to look in the folder when the emulator is launched and before returning to GameEx. There was a very similar post the other day thinking it was a bug, but the config turned out to be wrong. It was the quotes missing from the command line.

You can try the new version of 7-zip you need the command line version.

Yeah thats what I meant and you are correct, it is a vertical scrolling game. I guess there is nothing I can do about it then at this point. Fudge.

The F1/ F2 bit, I'll give it a try and report back.

I don't believe I've made any changes in respect to aspect ratio on NullDC, I have my cabinet monitor to Vertical aspect and the Ikaruga display Vertically perfectly...

F1 F2 keys don't seem to do anything from what I can tell.

As far as I know the test menu isn't implemented yet.

Too bad but if they ever implement it you can type in "MORIKAWA" in the game test mode in the password section for Capcom Vs SNK 2 unlocks boss mode
